Owner description: Come visit Jamaica’s popular Bamboo Beach Club where white sand, blue water and beautiful views create an unforgettable tropical paradise. Sprawling almond and palm trees line the seashore and create an atmosphere of relaxation and fun. Enjoy one of the most unique cultural experiences on the island, as live entertainment is ongoing and gives you a real feel of the Jamaican culture. Jamaican dancers, reggae drummers, exotic singers and artistic acrobats make up our distinctive troupe of professionals who present enjoyable performances right on the sand. Take a swim in the sea, dip your toes in the sand, and sip on cool glasses of unlimited beer, Jamaican mojitos, rum punch or lemonade as our DJ plays a fashionable mix of local and reggae beats. The food keeps coming as your charming hostesses with their friendly smiles and excellent service continually circle the Beach Club with an array of unlimited tasty dishes freshly prepared by our chef. These culinary treats are served "tapas style" and mix Jamaican and Asian accents to create cuisine that is sure to delight. Dancing in the morning, drinking cocktails at noon, and “taking it cool” is Bamboo Beach Club’s philosophy.

“Please book something else!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I are experienced cruisers and have adventured out on many excursions. We booked this through RC cruise lines and it was the worst excursion and waste of money ever! From Falmouth port expect an 1 1/2 hr bus ride, which can be scarey in Jamaica. Once arriving at the beach area, it isn't a very large beach area. There are no lounge chairs to layout in, just chairs to sit on. The food portions are extremely small, and although requested several times another plate it was never brought to us. You are given an assigned (small) area you have to sit in according to the bus you rode in and there's no water sports, snorkel gear, nothing at all available to rent or use. Entertainment is okay on the beach, but after watching the electric slide, wobble, etc so many times on the cruise ship we were hoping for more Jamaican style entertainment while we sat in our chairs. Our whole group on our bus was very unhappy with our experience. No one was informed of the long bus trip, and as we sat in our chairs they shared too how miserable they were also. There are a lot more beach excursions so go with one besides this one!

“Relaxing day at the Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Booked this excursion through Royal Caribbean. LaToya did a great job as our guide making sure that everyone was taken care of and well-fed. Tony was a good driver although we did nickname him Tailgating Tony by the end of the day. The water at the private beach was just the right temperature and there were plenty of chairs for everybody. The staff served unlimited rum punch and Island Beer. There was also mixed drinks that could be purchased at the bar and a guy with a machete making a coconut rum drink. The authentic Jamaican food was great and plentiful. Reggae music played all day by a DJ inviting many to dance in the sand. A beach masseuse was on duty all afternoon offering very reasonably priced massages. Then a very good singer finished up the afternoon. LaToya gave some interesting facts about the area on the ride to the beach not leaving out a stop at the monument that was erected to mark the location of the spot where Queen Elizabeth stopped to pee during a royal visit in the 60's. Made it back to the port in time to do some shopping before re-boarding the ship.

“Choose somethig else”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We shoullave staedon te ship. This was supposd to e a "resort". I thought tables and chairs. No tables. Terrible chairs. Water was prettyo look at but hard to walk in. Food was served in small portions and not what I would call all you could eat. Drinks were in plastic cups with no where to put either, the drinks kept spilling. To top it off the beach was full of up to 5" roots everywhere. I fell and the Jamacian nurse on duty tried to pull and massasage what we later found out on the ship was 2 fractures in my wrist.
No fun and no I'm stuck with a cast.

“relaxing stay at the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

we booked this excursion thru our cruise ship. It took about 1 hour to get to the beach from our port which was falmouth., jamaica. we were entertained by young men and women dancing , a singer, a drummer, and loud reggae music(recorded) everyone had a chair to sit in(uncomfortable). the beach is private. you will need water shoes to walk along the beach or go in the water. I enjoyed the food and drinks. they also had an open bar where you could purchase drinks.

“Small beach but no sellers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

we took a 15 per person r/t cab ride from the boat dock.... I was pleasantly surprised... very nice changing rooms and clean bathrooms, they have a restaurant and waitress service and a small gift shop. Beach was good and shallow and they had snorkel rental equipment, beach chairs for rent and umbrellas for rent and a small convenience store... and no peddlers are on the beach... next to the RIU and on the other side was private homes.
