We were supposed to be picked up at 9am, at 9:20 another tour guide called Alfonso and asked where he was and said he was running a bit late, at 9:40 the front desk called him and he said he would be there in five minutes, he finally showed up just after 10 and told us it's ok we are in Jamaica. We did not even receive a reason for him being late. The last thing we want to do on vacation is sit in the lobby waiting for someone to show up, expecially if we have to get up in the morning for it. Then he takes us to his car that is all beat up. He dropped us off at Dunns river and told us to take our time and that it should take us 2 hours to do the tour and gave us a time we should leave by in order to make it to Bob Marley's house on time. When we got in, they told us it only take 45mins - 1 hour to climb the falls. So once we were done we walked around for a bit and thought he would be waiting for us so we could head to Bob Marley's place. We walked out of the place to find him not there and again we waited for 45 mins before he showed up and told us he thought the climb was 2 hours. For someone that takes people there all the time, I would expect him to know the timing. Then when we were getting in the car, he tried to close the back door while he was still sitting in the front seat and closed it on my girlfriend's foot and did not really care, just said sorry and did not ask if she was alright. Then when we get to Bob marley's house he tells the tour guide we have 30 mins there and we have to leave, it felt like cause he was late he rushed us to finish the tour so we don't even know if we had the full experience.
Overall, both my GF and I thought for the extra 20 bucks each it would have been worth the convenience to go with the big tour groups from our resort. We were on vacation and we wasted almost 2 hours of our day waiting around for him. Both of us have traveled extensively around the world and have been on many tours and this was by far the worst tour we have been on.
