First, I went away with my fiance' and we had a great time. When we arrived, check in was smooth, no problems. Our room was great, nice view of the pool. Mini bar bar kept stocked everyday.
The beach was a little dirty, lots of dried leaves and branches. Needs a little cleaning.
Also the pool could have used with cleaning, they need to be skimmed as debris collected in the corners. The pool Bar was nice, but kids were served drinks (non-alcoholic)
The food as average at best, but my fiance' enjoyed the selection. I don't eat pork and beef. All restaurants need reservations, except the buffet. They served average food, not worth the time.
Hotel was beautiful, could not hear any construction. Pool looked amazing at night. Activities were limited, but activity crew did their best. Very enthusiastic.
Some bartenders were not so good, over compensated by adding more liquor than needed. Some drinks too strong.
The ATM did not function, so if you need cash, BRING IT.
All in all, had a great time, would recommend and have.

Definitely a nice resort... definitely has some kinks, but they are easy fixes.....

My wife and I just got back a couple hours ago.... here is our synopsis:

Likes:
1. The resort was clean, tidy and very organized...
2. Employees are extremely friendly, we've been to both Dominican and Mexico, and have never met friendlier people than Jamaicans.
3. Rooms are nice, and air conditioning works perfectly... works even better if you leave the fan on a little too.
4. Breakfast - The Omellettes are AWESOME !!!
5. Beach was extremely clean, allways well groomed.

Dislikes:
1. The male employees DEFINITELY hit on the female guests, it can be kind of un-comfortable, but I guess it's just the Jamaican way..
2. Food was kind of taste-less, and there wasn't a lot of choices...
3. Activities were lame, and there were not enough.
4. Kind of a small resort.
5. Beach only had about a 1km length... not so great for long walks on the beach.

All in all, it was an extremely relaxing vacation, we were able to really relax for once on vacation... Definitely not somewhere to go and have fun.

This hotel was amazing. My husband and I were married on 8/8/08 and we arrived in Jamaica 8/10/08. We spent 5 nights at Iberostar Rose Hall. We got there at night so we expericened the beauty of the hotel from the time we drove up. The exterior of the hotel is lite up at night.

Check in was very easy. As we waited for the staff to process our check in a staff member from the lobby bar greeted us with a drink. The front desk staff watched our luggage as we went to the buffet restaurant to have dinner. When we returned a bell staff escourted us to our room. Our room was a Beach front room, we had the most amazing view. Honestly there is no bad view from the rooms. You either have a pool view, beach view, or view of the landscaping. In designingthis hotel they paid attention to every single little detail.

The beach was nice and the pool was amazing. We booked a few tours with the friendly staff at the tour desk. The restaurants wer all great . we really enjoyed the buffet, so much to chose from every meal. We made reservations at the Japanese restaurant as well as the Cajun restaurant. The Japanese restaurant was a great experience.

All of the staff were very friendly. This was our first time staying at an Iberostar property and we plan to try their other locations. We plan to return to Iberostar Rosee Hall.

I was excited for our trip to Jamaica, had stayed at other Iberostars, so I thought we knew what to expect-- wrong. From the moment we got there, there were problems. Not enough towels or chairs in the rooms. Broken elevators, sloppy maid service. Food was terrible, there was few Jamaican foods available. Single ladies need to watch out for leers and remarks by male employees. Made it through the Hurricane Gustav OK, but the hotel ( which was less than one year old) was crumbling in public areas like the main dining room. Don't bring any large bills when purchasing any excursions- they will tell you the bills are counterfeit and embarass you pubilcly. Jamacia is a beautiful island & the people are friendly, but stay away from the Iberostar and Jamacia Tours.
