I loved Jamaica. I won't rate the resort, I will just tell you about it. I enjoyed staying there for the week. I enjoyed just getting to know people on the island. From Negril to Ochee(Ochos Rios). We drove all over the west side of the island keeping to the coast. The staff are nice, the rooms are more than adequate. There is a 10' x 20' pool.
The gardening is neat for Jamaica. There is oleander, ackee, and othe local trees there. A small gym excercise room 12' x 12'. The rooms are well kept, there is a cable/sat TV in the room a separate sitting room in the larger rooms, a kitchen or a kitchenette. There is a bar, but I don't drink. I suggest you go as a family and enjoy. Know your capabilities, if you are there for vacation take a taxi, if you are there to meet local people and can take care of yourself and tell people off if they bother you walk. The hotel is a 2 minute drive from the airport a porter will charge a customary 8-10$ for a trip. You can also go grocery shopping in this trip. Ask to go to the grocer, a store the size of a convenince store. KFC, Burger king are in downtown MObay.
You can eat at the hotel but food abounds for free on a tropical island, ackee, breadfruit, saltfish, coconuts can be found easily. I am an outdoors person that is somewhat burly. Jamaicans are friendly but there is high unemployment and a disparity in justice in the country so travel at your own risk. I had little or no trouble traveling. Just have fun.
