“TAKE THE MARTHA BRAE AND LEARN ABOUT JAMAICA!”

The Martha Brae River Run was excellent not only for the fact that you see absolutely beautiful scenary, but you learn about the plants and trees growing in the local region. We had a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide, Glenville, who took the time to show us plants such as "lime, allspice and the "sensitivity plant"..........don't be afraid to ask your guide questions about the people and their culture. We learned so much from our guide. This was so well worth the time and money. Thanks Glenville at Martha Brae!

“Pleasant & Peaceful”

We went rafting on the Martha Brae whilst on holiday 4-11 November 2003. We did this as part of a full day tour that included a very early morning pick-up, breakfast out (very nice), rafting then the falls and lunch out in a lovely restaurant in Ochio Rios and as a whole day out it was wonderful, really good value for money. The rafting itself is very peaceful and we purchased a nice photograph. The guides who are rafting are not paid much money and supplement their income by carving pots etc so if you can please purchase one or two, it will help them so much. If I went back to Jamaica again I would not probably make a point of going rafting on the Martha Brae again however if it was part of another trip then I probably would. As a whole days excursion it was fantastic if not a little tiring by the time we arrived back in Negril!

“Watch out for the crabs”

This was a wonderful attraction aside from the little baby crabs constantly attacking me. The scenery was beautiful and very calm. It was a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of the hip strip where i stayed.

“Martha Brae raft trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2003

Rafting on the Martha Brae was a great way to unwind and enjoy a little nature. Our guide told us that they make thier own bamboo rafts & they have to construct a new one about every 6 months. Your raft guide will be happy to point out the different types of wildlife and vegatation, while explaining it's uses along the way. The strangest thing we saw was a bunch of buzzards sitting in a tree. I had to take a picture.
It's an interesting ride & worth time.
