Ridgeway was a shiny pin in an otherwise less than inspiring Montego Bay. The accomodation is satisfactory, clean, large and well equipped. The bed is not very large and the seating could be more comfortable. The aircon is also noisy but necessary. Mrs Williams who looked after the room did an excelent job and the owners were pleasant and collected us from the airport. The airport is a seven minute walk with no need for a taxi. The cafeteria next door belongs to the university and I was (culture) shocked to find curry chicken on the breakfast menu. Taxi fare to the (not so) Hip Strip is one US Dollar per person. Dont ask the prioce, just hand over the money. If you must go to Montego Bay don't overlook Ridgeway. On the basis that everything is overpriced in jamaica this guest house offers some level of value for money. Good hotels in the US are a lot less exopensive.
