We arrived to find the most gorgeous room overlooking the beach. Sadly there was an interconnecting door and next door was a young couple with a baby and small child who kept us awake much of the night. The following day Undia and her staff bent over backwards to sort out the problem. They upgraded us to an amazing cottage on the beach. Alfor and Ernest two of the Bell boys, treated us like royalty. The head chef, Stephen from Middlesbrough, produced fantastic food. Their Jamaican specialities were particularly good. Other notable staff were Ricardo, Christopher Golding, Andrew Jones and Renato (who had attitude and was very funny but efficient). There were two stars at the sugar mill. Dwain and Newton. Best of all were our two caddies for the two weeks, Weatburn and Desmond under the supervision of head golfer Stephen. Even if you potted the ball from twenty yards, Westburn was not satisfied. "Oh no, Man, should have been softer. Too hard, Man. You was lucky man." Having said this all the staff were helpful and often amusing. The old Rasta singers in the two restaurants were stars, as was the 93 year old pianist. Much better than the usual piped hotel music. When we lived in Jamaica in the 70's we were always on edge about security. I felt secure and happy the whole time. The holiday was made perfect by our wonderful friends, but even had we been alone we would still have had an amazing time. Great holiday. Expensive but worth every cent.

This was my first trip to the half moon bay. We loved the old world feel. This resort offers anything you could want. I can't say enough about the fabulous staff and service. Half moon was highly recommended and did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded all expectations. The only bad thing was having to leave. I will be back soon.

My husband and I travelled to Montego Bay Jamaica on January 24-28, 2013, to attend the
Jamaica Jazz and Blues festival. This was my first time in Jamaica, so I wanted to get the most out of our vacation. We stayed at the Half Moon, resort, It was breath taking from the moment we came through the gates, this is a private resort, where the performing stars like Dionne Warrick, John Legend, Michael Bolton, Mary J. Blige, and other stayed during our time there. The staff was very attentive, they made sure our lug gages was delivered to our room while we checked in.

There is about 400 acres, with a golf course, a shopping area, walking area, workout area, a commissary, play area for the kids, the resort has a beautiful spa and I took advantage of the spar treatment, my first spa, it was wonderful. (Sea salt exfoliation) The staff was amazing, we had a problem with the shower in our room, we reported it to the management,( M.s Paula A. Lilly, the Front of House Manager) not only did management move us to another cottage, this cottage was an upgrade from the one we had. Our bill was credited 400.00 for the inconvenience, also the management made sure there was someone to move us to our new cottage. At the new cottage there was a private pool, with a private balcony, our cottage overlook the ocean also it was absolutely gorgeous.

The staff was there for everything we needed, they made sure we were happy with the change, and ask if they could do more. I highly recommend this resorts if you ever go to Montego Bay Jamaica

I would like to thank the staff, Ms. Paula A. Lilly, Front office Management for making sure our stay was memorable, and our complaints was heard and taking care of and for Jovial, the front desk staff, he was very professional and very accommodating made sure all our questions was answered in a reasonable about of time.

My husband and I just got back from a 7 nights stay here. Beautiful property with almost every amenity that one would desire for a vacation. You really do not need to leave the property... An almost perfect experience. The room service was spot-on with a great selection and variety of food, not to mention just great service... The restaurants' food and service (not Michelin star quality) were mediocre to good...We had a wonderful peaceful vacation and will be back very soon...
