Ok so, it's literally one of those "you get what you pay for" places. This is not a resort, it's more along the lines of a motel. The property has a very authentic style, you def. feel like you're in Jamaica. The cost is great, got for $65 dollars a night ($79 after taxes ... And for that I def. could have found a better place to stay)

The staff is very friendly, not over accommodating but not rude and inattentive either. The husband and wife (I believe the two owners) are pretty old, very very kind (LOVED THE WIFE she melted my heart), but they've totally let the place go. The property has SOOO much potential.

THE ROOMS: are clean, by clean I mean sanitized...bleached...things of that nature. By clean I do NOT mean degreased walls, new bathroom tiles, new furniture or things of THAT nature. If you are someone who needs your hotel room to look at least like a motel 6 hotel room....this is NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. It's literally somewhere to sleep, nowhere to hang out at. The rooms were a little scary. I worried about bed bugs, but did not have that problem thankfully. The "balcony" ... Omg lol. It's very narrow and is caged in...all other pics from other guests with balcony views are being taken THROUGH the bars.

BREAKFAST: $6, great price right? For $6 I paid for 2 eggs and like 3 anorexic pieces of bacon...so...not so great price.

The views of this place are beautiful, and like I said, a very authentic looking property. The place served it's purpose for me, although I probably won't be staying there again. Let me be clear, if you're looking for a quick and cheap place to stay, where you WILL be safe and have free and working wifi, stay here. If you care about how your room looks...don't stay here.

Have gone there several times.. Though it is not a perfect place for vacation, you can still stay for couple of nights without any regret. The town and the beaches are just 5 to 8 mins drive only. So, i would suggest that one can stay here, and go to places of attraction and come back, for people who don't want to spend too much on accommodation. The place is clam and quite. The staff very friendly.. especially Ms.Doreen and Ms.Juline. The owners who run the place are elderly people and are very friendly and kind too.. I would say a nice, decent, clean, reasonable place to stay. worth the money you shell out. Had breakfast few times. i think the local jamaican b'fast must be good. Finally, in short , perfect for a family stay or get-together.

Room Tip: Ask for room 5/6 for bigger families.(family of more than 4). Or ask for a room which already has an...

We had a really wonderful experience at Verney's House. Well, our flight was been canceled and we had to find some place in Montego Bay to spend the night. We were so happy to find this place. We enjoyed nice mountains view from our window! Also we had wonderful dinner there. I want to say lots of THANKS to the all stuff members. They are all so wonderful and friendly. We were so lucky to meet Juline Thomas at the reception! She is amazing person!!! My child was sick (she overstay on the sun the day before and got fever) and Juline was so helpful and caring. I just can't thank her enough... What a wonderful people and beautiful place!
Overall, its a really nice place to spend a night or two (but not whole vacation). You should understand that it's not the "fancy" place, but it's very clean, safe and feels like home! plus the beautiful view and good price! I would definitely stay there again but just for couple of nights.

Well when we got there (September 16, 2013), lets just say we gave it a chance and it just didn't work out. The people are VERY nice, but the motel itself was not what it looked like in the pictures. The view was nice, when you look through the bars... There were little red bugs all over the furniture (except the bed)... The bathroom was interesting. The room needs to be updated completely (new paint job, new everything). We will not ever be returning to this motel ever.

A great place to stay, and good value. The food is really good and cooked to order with very friendly staff that ensure your stay is well worth it.It has great views, and the open eating area has lots of charisma and charm, with plants all around and a nice little bar with good prices.Had great fun at breakfast and dinner with the owners and staff, who are great company,The rooms are very good, with AC,TV,comfortable beds and a dinning area where you can sit and look at the mountains in the distance. It is a little out of the way,but there is always someone to take you to town,or if you can, a 15 minute walk will be quiet easy to do.I'd stay here again.

This places is really very cheap we got a room with 5 beds for $80 (£50) breakfast is $6 per person but everything is brought fresh daily. Its in a really hilly location and you will needd a car or use a taxi, they have a mini bus ( im sure they would pick you up for a fee) its only about by 5 mins from the airport.

Rooms are clean and tidy, however it is in need of updating, but that did not put us off staying at the beginning of our trip and we booked for the last night as well.
