“Great collection of antique musical instruments.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2011

We visited by taxi from Silver Sands. Entrance cost us $20 per adult and $10 per child so $60 US for our family. We thought that was a bit steep but once we were on the tour, were very impressed with the collection of antiques and in particular, the musical instruments. The polyphone was amazing; the knowledgeable and friendly tour guide made it play for us and it was a beautiful sound. Our 7 and 9 year old girls enjoyed the tour as well. The road up is awful but we would visit again.

“A grand morning tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2011

My wife and I are historic house buffs so the Greenwood Great House tour was just what we were looking for. Rose Hall sounded, from the reviews on Trip Advisor, as tourist/cruise ship overrun so we chose to go off the beaten track. Greenwood was tremendous. Lots of old furniture, books, decorations dating back to the 1700's. Beautiful views of the ocean from the 70 foot veranda ( it convinces you the world is round). A knowledgeable tour guide for the two of us and our "driver" was chatting in the back yard with the owner of the private house as we completed our tour. The co-owner wife who took our $14 per person gave no indication that, in addition to collecting tour money and running a small bar, she was also a co-owner. All in all a wonderful house, grand tour, we loved it. 70 dollars round trip for the ride plus the admission. It was nice to get off the Sandals Royal Caribbean compound and see some sites. Hire a JUTA driver and enjoy the tour.
