Beautiful Beach to lay around get a tan, snorkel or swim. Get a day pass from your hotel or pay at the gate. be advised that there is a charge to rent the chairs & umbrellas. You will be approached by those asking if you want a chair a drink or even food. You are expected to tips for theses services. If you don't want to be bothered say so, no worries.Actually this a a great way to spend the day or even a small part of it.

“you got 2 be kidding”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

yes it's a nice beach.... but here is the problem.. you pay

$ 6.00 to enter
( so someone owns the water and sand, and decides it's worth $ 6.00 bucks to enter)

$ 5.00 umbrella rental
$5.00 life jackets for a 2 year old........ ( seriously)

this is nothing but a tourist trap.. who pays to enter the beach? tourist do, because that's all u will see here. the locals know to go right down the road and go to the other part of the beach which is free.. it's not like the water/sand is any different at this beach ddd

yes they have life guards, but he was too busy trying to get you to go on a jet ski ride @ $75 buvs for 30 minutes or a glass boat ride @ $ 20 bucks per person for a hour ride. i saw the life guard actually walk around the beach asking people if they wanted these services... not acceptable in my book. what if someone was drowning ? i realize the country depends on tourism for most of it's income, but not acceptable to put someone safety at risk

“Great and safe beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Great sand beach, safe, not too crowded unless cruise ships are in port. Water gets nice and deep a bit further out and they have a really fun water trampoline. Restaurant and chair/umbrella rental

“Beautiful, safe and calm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Visited Doctor's cave Beach last week with my husband and two teen boys. For less than $40 we got snorkeling gear, an umbrella and entrance to a secure, calm beach. There were very few people there and ti was not crowded at all. The beach is white sand and turquoise blue water, just what we were looking for. We have visited Jamaica before and knew that a private beach is what we wanted for this day trip so we had no issue paying a small fee to get in. The facilities were nice and very clean with staff that was helpful and friendly. The restaurant was steps away from the water and servers came around taking our order if we did not want to leave our umbrella. There was security and serenity so we were definitely satisfied. There was a small reef to snorkel around/above and the water was calm and clear. No persons harassing you to buy anything, no dirty beach and no long trek to questionable bathrooms. Definitely will return here when we visit Jamaica again!
