“Highly Reccomend”

Aside from the breathtaking view, the staff is very hospitable, the food is great. Always my choice of venue for a day/night away from town.

“See Jamaica from Strawberry Hill”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Strawberry Hill, the home of Chris Blackwell and Island Records is worth the long mountain drive to experience the amazing sights and solitude it can offer. The gardens are very well stocked and maintained with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the sights of Jamaica at its best.

We went to visit and enjoy a drink rather than stay and were made very welcome by the staff and other guests. $15 entry fee for tourists ($JA1000 for local residents) includes a free drink at the bar. Enjoying an ice cold beer sitting on the decking watching Humming Birds in bright sunshine really does take some beating

A tour of the house provides an insight into the life of Chris Blackwell and the huge number of pop stars who have visited and recorded on the Island Records label.

All amenities were very clean and well maintained

A small gift shop is available

Well worth the drive

“Beautiful, Cozy, ROMANTIC!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Stay in individual cottages with breathtaking views. An infinity pool and comforting spa await. My husband and I booked an all inclusive package at REASONABLE rates. Waling distance from Blue Mountain Coffee plantation that includes a tasting. Bob Marley,, the Beatles, and British Royalty have also enjoyed this lovely getaway vacation spot--a Favorite for Sunday Brunch with the locals--always a good sign.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

Very scenic. It is not the easiest drive up, but the view of the city from the infiniti pool is worth it. Make sure you catch the sunset. The food is good. It is a bit expensive (if you ar a local). The prices are good during Kingston's Restaurant's week, but the menu will be limited

“Tasty Food, Spectacular Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

Visited here for my birthday in 2010. Drove up from our apartment in Kingston and really enjoyed our meal. The waiter was friendly and helpful and the food was great. You can have a wander around and check out the music memorabilia since the place is owned by the music producer Chris Blackwell. He founded Island Records and launched the career of Bob Marley. Bob Marley came to Strawberry Hill to recover after he was shot in 1976 at his house in Hope Road (also worth a visit). Apparently a good time to visit Strawberry Hill is just before sunset but we didn't quite make it back for that after our visit for dinner. Anyway, food is good, views are good, service is good and the vibe is good. I'd recommend.
