I am so sorry to have to give this villa a bad review but it happens. I have to start by saying that the ladies Constance and Cynthia were fantastic. I am a Jamaica living in Atlanta and I was extremely impressed with Contance's cooking. She knows how to cook. Cynthia kept the house very clean. We paid $2600 wk and we expected something comfortable. Upon arrival with our 1 and 3 yr old we were warned that the oven was dangerous - the door was propped shut with a 2x4. We tripped several times over that and the door promptly fell of. The fridge did not cool properly. The furniture in the living room was AWFUL. They had a great tv but no where comfortable to sit. The 2nd king room was mine and the bed was as hard as you could get. The pillows were lead flat. We called management on Monday after arriving Friday and they came and had a look. They showed us several properties that varied in price. The lady showing them to us was not sure if we would have to pay more to move??? Anyway we decided that the ladies were worth staying for because if we left the house would be closed and they would not be getting paid. The view from the house of the sea is awesome. The house is one of the better locations in the you don't have far to walk to the beach. The beach is great. There is a lifeguard on duty. The villa mart has very reasonable prices by Jamaican standards. I could compare and knew that tourists were not being take advantage of. The amenities are limited but if you are looking for a quiet vacation Silver Sands would be the place to go. The house located directly next to Tu Mac was Azure Cove and it is new so next visit we will be checking that one out even if it is more expensive.

I have stayed at Ebb Tide three times in the last three years and can not say enough good things about this property. The house has one of the nicest locations - right on the ocean with a fabulous patio area. The breakfast / sitting area is huge and when the sliding glass doors are open it feels like you are right on top of the ocean.

The staff is wonderful. They prepare very tasty meals and are willing to go to the grocery store and pick up requested foods. It was fabulous to try traditional Jamaican dishes as well as the fresh seafood and lobster. Stew peas is one of my favorite dishes.

The beach is beautiful and there are many other "touristy" things to do if you want to venture out. There are also excellent golf courses nearby. I prefer staying here to any of the all-inclusive or other hotels because it is a more intimate and personal experience with TONS more space!

Ebb Tide is perfect for a romantic weekend or a friends and family vacation. I hope to return to Ebb Tide in soon.

My Daughter and I stayed at Silver Sands for 3 weeks at the Blue Vista Villa. We had friends join us for a portion of the stay. It was a perfect location for a longer stay as the house was very roomy, the pool and deck area large . The short walks to the beach and other amenities were always pleasant as all the staff from the landscapers to the ladies at the grocery store were always friendly and helpful. In fact they all went out of their way at one time or another to make our vacation at Silver Sands the best it could be.The general atmosphere is family friendly and respectful. Many vacationers that I spoke to had been there before and were planning on going back. I know I will.

I just returned from 8 days @ the Eirie Blue Villa at Silver Sands Vacation Villas. 8 of us (aged 5-70) were there to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. We arrived to the smiling faces of Ann & Charlene who had cooked us wonderful jerk chicken, rice/peas and a bounty of fresh fruit for our arrival meal. We knew at that moment we had come to the right place for our celebration.
The house is absolutely beautiful. From the front of the house you can see out to the pool/hot tub and the beach. The house had 4 bedrooms which were each tastefully decorated and one of the bedrooms was a nautical kids theme, so it was perfect for my 9 and 5 year olds. The house was immaculate, breezy, and very comfortable without being too fancy and worrying that my kids would break anything. There was ample room in the home for the 8 of us, so we never felt like we were on top of each other. The house came with a pool/hot tub right off the living room, and we spent many a day lounging there, and the cook would often serve us lunch out on the patio which had lots of tables.
Eirie Blue is right on the beach, so we would basically open up the gate to our house to go out to the beach. The beach right in front of the house was perfect for snorkeling and tidepooling. The swimming beach @ the Silver Sands Resort was about a 2 minute walk from our house. There we were able to swim, lounge, and we also rented boogie boards and kayaks on a couple of occasions. The resort was pretty much empty during June, so it was a great place to come if you want total relaxation and aren't concerned about nightlife. The Silver Sands Property itself was nice..there was internet, kids playground, restaurant/bar, ping pong, and a Villa Mart where you could buy food/snacks, but we went into Falmouth one day to get the more authentic Jamaican market experience. We brought a lot of our food down from the states, but every morning, John, the rastafarian fisherman would stroll by our house with the catch of the day that he'd caught that morning, so while we were lounging @ our pool @ 9am, we would decide what we wanted to eat. We had 2 days of great lobstser and red snapper, caught by John, our dreadlocked fisherman. Other than him, no one hassled us, or tried to sell us anything, so that was nice.
I can't say enough about how wonderful this place was. It was remote and not in a touristy part of Jamaica, but it was absolutely stunning. We ventured off the property 2 days: 1 to go deep sea fishing in Falmouth, and the other day we went to Mayfield Falls (highly recommend that) and Negril. Didn't like Negril much, very touristy/tacky. The 7 mile beach was nice, but every step we took we were harassed by vendors selling us everything from bandanas and bracelets to hair braiding and massages. We were glad after a day in Negril to get back to our villa.
If you're looking for a great relaxing getaway that's not too pricey, and a fun place for a family reunion or larger family retreat, Eirie Blue @ Silver Sands is your place!

From the moment the big air conditioned, clean bus picked us up with our friendly driver Mark at the wheel the week just kept getting better. When our group of 10 -2 families ,4-40 somethings ,2 seniors and 4-teen boys arrrived at Silversands to our Villa Endless Summer we were so excited and thrilled with it.The staff met us outside to help with the bags and introduced themselves to us .I knew right then how much we would love them as they were so warm and friendly. We were all so thrilled with the house and ran around examining everything about it.All the bedrooms were beautiful and the views amazing. It is a terrific house .The staff Una ,Merlain,Corrine,Annette,Scott and Richie were fabulous. They were so eager to help makeour vacation a good one. They treated us so well .I am happy to say I made some very good friends of them. The beach was beautiful and an easy 10 min walk from our place. We went snorkelling with Errol who works down at Rum Jetty and also Fishing one morning. He is a very nice man .THe pool we had at the house was great for cooling off and for the boys to have fun in.This is by far the vacation of my life.If anyone has ANY ?'s about Silversands please private message me I would be very happy to anwer any ?'s you may have.
