I am so sorry to have to give this villa a bad review but it happens. I have to start by saying that the ladies Constance and Cynthia were fantastic. I am a Jamaica living in Atlanta and I was extremely impressed with Contance's cooking. She knows how to cook. Cynthia kept the house very clean. We paid $2600 wk and we expected something comfortable. Upon arrival with our 1 and 3 yr old we were warned that the oven was dangerous - the door was propped shut with a 2x4. We tripped several times over that and the door promptly fell of. The fridge did not cool properly. The furniture in the living room was AWFUL. They had a great tv but no where comfortable to sit. The 2nd king room was mine and the bed was as hard as you could get. The pillows were lead flat. We called management on Monday after arriving Friday and they came and had a look. They showed us several properties that varied in price. The lady showing them to us was not sure if we would have to pay more to move??? Anyway we decided that the ladies were worth staying for because if we left the house would be closed and they would not be getting paid. The view from the house of the sea is awesome. The house is one of the better locations in the you don't have far to walk to the beach. The beach is great. There is a lifeguard on duty. The villa mart has very reasonable prices by Jamaican standards. I could compare and knew that tourists were not being take advantage of. The amenities are limited but if you are looking for a quiet vacation Silver Sands would be the place to go. The house located directly next to Tu Mac was Azure Cove and it is new so next visit we will be checking that one out even if it is more expensive.
