The external environment and the size of the room make Montjoli a hotel but the bed, the covers, the bathroom, the closet, the TV with less than 5 US channels make it more like a motel. There is no soap, shampoo etc and you would not want to use this 2 little towels in the bathroom to dry yourshelf after a shower from a rusty pipe that has no pressure at all.
The food is OK but expect some flies around. During power outage, the lights will be on, but do not expect the air conditionner to run. For this place which is the best you can get in Cap Haitien, your daily rate is $97 for a double bed. Consider going to Cap Haitien as an act of charity to help the locals but do not expect a Marriott like service. overall this is more a motel than a hotel. Enjoy you stay!
