“Fab location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

We came back yesterday and would go again. Staff were friendly and Bruce the chefs salmon neptune is fab. Nelson the cat was wandering around and was a character himself. if youre expecting the Hilton dont go but for friendly family old world charm please do. The rooms were clean and beds comfy. The country road drive is not for the faint hearted and dont wear heels this is an ideal place for walkers and travelling to surrounding areas such as conway castle. We had a great time and will go again soon. Thankyou.

We went on this trip using Living Social for my birthday we wanted somewhere quite and relaxing it was all that.
The room was basic but served its purpose more important clean with the jaccuzi which was well deserved after our long walk in Caernarfon.
There is not a lot of choice of food but what you did get was very nice. The Staff Ron and Heather (Heather is a charactor in herself very nice lady) were very nice people as well as the young lads and lasses who served you

We met some great people especially the senior citizens LOL x Babs & Frank they were the entertainment, and Lisa & Adrian a nice couple the other couples were also very nice infact everyone was very nice had a really good time.

The hotel is quite and out of the way ( I am glad I was not the driver I don't like driving country narrow lanes).

Have stayed there a number of times and will continue to do so, nice and quiet yet plenty to do if you want.Breakfasts are great and the menu is varied and if you have bought a package you can upgrade for the difference. Bruce the chef will cook what ever you want and the bar is really well stocked.

We booked this hotel through living social a two night break including breakfast for a fantastic price. We stayed with our Rottwieller and was made very welcome. All the staff was really helpful and friendly, they couldnt do enough to make our stay the best. Left overs from the restaurant was saved for the dog, and the chef was really accomodating varying the menu to suit our pallet. The rooms although small was very modern and clean with everything you needed. The village itself is beautiful cannot find any faults we will be back!!!

What can we say!! Just returned from our two night stay here and it's the first time we've bothered to write a review but some of the reviews on here just don't do the inn any justice whatsoever!!

The location is idyllic, so utterly peaceful. Yes the roads are quite tight but that's what you get when going to a rural location.

The inn doesn't look much from the outside but inside is amazing. The bar area has an open log fire and is so relaxing. Truly amazing to wind down with a glass of wine by the fire

The food was delicious, the bar more than reasonably priced and the portions huge. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much for them to do.

We stayed in room 8 which was decorated beautifully with fantastic views. By far the best part was the double jacuzzi bath-- heaven.

The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in! Better than even my childhood bed!!

Cannot fault a thing here, will definitely be back.

Unfortunately we only had 1 night here, I had wondered how rooms with Jacuzzi would work in an old coaching inn but the rooms are on the ground floor in a rcent extention. The room was comfortable but appeared small because of the large size of the bed, the double jacuzzi took up about half the bathroom. The restaurant food was good and not overpriced. They were busy and there was a nice buzz about the place. The bar was very buzy so service was a little on the slow side - but it didn't matter! Would I go again - YES!
