“My favorite place in the caraibes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2008

Just a wonderful island with wonderful sunsets, terrific restaurants, nice beaches and an atmosphere where time stops.
Staying there is definitely off the beaten path after the last tourist ferry as left...
If you want some days of relax, just go there, rent a scooter at Édouard`s , have a morning swim and snorkling at one of the beaches, have lunch at "Ti Kaz la", go to "pain de sucre" beach in the afternoon and go have diner at "3 boats"stay at Auberge Les petits. It seems as if you`re on heaven... maybe it is!

“The Best of Les Saintes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2007

Les Saintes is a collection of islands off the SE coast of Guadeloupe, the largest of which, Terre de Haut, has the only hotels. The town, Bourg, is a picturesque little ville on a gorgous bay with a number of restaurants overlooking the harbor. Only watersports and biking are available. No golf or tennis and no night life. The best inn is L'Auberge les Petits Saintes with 12 rooms that looks down over the harbor. We stayed there in early February '07 for a week and found the place delightful, with excellent food, a friendly ambiance, not terribly expensive and quite relaxed. The owners, Jean and Laurent, are attentive and helpful and both get along well in English although its helpful to have some command of French. If you're looking for a quiet time in the sun with good food, I'd recommend L'Auberge and the island.
