“cruise stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

We stopped in grenada for the day on the Celebrity Summit. Wanted to have a beach day which worked out perfect. When you get of the boat your enter a terminal which is very clean and has good shopping. You just follow signs for the water taxi. For 4 dollars each they bring you on a 20 minute ride on a boat to the beach which is right there. Is a nice beach with calm water. You can rent chairs ,snorkal gear and get food and bevs from the people there. When you get off the boat they are just a tad aggressive but after you get your seat no probs. I went to the right and paid 10 a chair. If you keep walking it goes down to 5. Waiters are all over so you can get what you want. Nice relaxing place with awesome scenery.

“Picture Postcard Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

We stayed at the Coyaba which is a resort right on the Grand Anse Beach and having run up and down the beach from end to end on a few occasions I can tell you that this is truly a picture postcard location from end to end.

The Caribbean Sea here is relatively calm and perfect for bathing or water-sports alike. There are also plenty of activities for hire, I would recommend seeing the guys at EcoDive (Coyaba Resort) where you can get dive, snorkel, kayak and hobicat equipment from and really enjoy this location.

We also got married on this beach, how cool is that!!!

“The best beach on the island”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Grand Anse beach is really beautiful..........on the south coast of the island, about 10 minutes from the airport. Many hotels are either in the Grand Anse area and close by as this is the area of Grenada where most tourists can be found. I like to visit in the mornings or later in the afternoons. During the afternoons it will be crowded especially on Fridays and during the weekend, but there is enough space for everyone.

There are a couple places (not many) on the beach where you can have a drinks or a bite to eat (I recommend umbrellas), and some others not very far away. On the beach you can rent kayak's, beach chairs, and there are a couple persons offering thrill rides and water skiing. Not much motorized water sports offered though.

Definitely a must see when visiting Grenada.

White sand, blue water. A bit crowded on the weekend. A variety of hotels right on the beach to choose from.
