This place was like a shaddy motel. The linens were shappy and cheap. The ammenities were cheap too. The lightbilbs were going out in the lamps. They have the alternate current so that you have to get a converter--with all the electronics--change the electricity also. The security guards were harassing--as a black woman--always asking if I was a guest--they did not do that to any white people on the property--once the guy ran me down like a linebacker, out of breath to ask if I was a guest thenhad the nerve to get an attitude when I told him off. As a paying guest--there wasnt any courtesy. There was active construction, hammering, drilling and painting going on underneath my room and across the garden. The water sports people made noise from 8am like there were no one in the rooms above them. At the end of the stay--problems with the bill--it would seem that they just wanted to make money off the tourists. An 18 percent tax and 10 percent service charge made this a complete ripoff. So, the staff worked for the bare minimum and then the tax took you to the cleaners. 310 dollars a night--for what??? Just dont go there--pick another resort where they know how to treat people. There website is a misrepresentation of the rooms, food and staff. Its a pretty place if they had staff that was friendly, drinks that tasted good, and rooms that looked decorated for the price you paying. Beach or no beach, view or not, will NEVER stay there again. Crown Plaza cannot fix this broken place. Cracks in the buildings, mild growing up the walls outside near the drainage pipes. Leet me not tell you about the bathroom vents--filthy dirty!!! It did not work anyway, the mirror stayed fogged up. Soap dishes dirty--fixtures rusted, floors scratched up---no glowing report on these rooms at all. It wasnt worth any amount of money....period.
