“Good food but let down by the slow service.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

We ate here several times whilst on holiday in Grenada recently. The food is good, represents value for money and the location is excellent being right on the beach. The service however, is really slow, especially when its busy.

“Fun spot to watch the sun go down”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

Stayed next door at the coyaba beach resort and tried umbrella's a couple of times, the food is plentiful and the barracuda steak is certainly a good sized and very tasty chunk of fish! The staff were a bit surly the first time we went as we only wanted drinks but were much nicer the next time we went and ordered food as well,it's a shame it's got it's car park between the bar and the beach so if you're seated downstairs you get get a view of a Rav4 or similar instead of the beautiful Grand Anse beach,

“great new place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Umbrellas was new to us the past couple of times we've been in Grenada... We went back a couple times, we loved it so much. First time with our friends, in the rain, up top, was fine, cuz we were under an UMBRELLA!! The food you get here is very good and plentiful!!! Our plates were just loaded... But it's all about the drinks here - I've only tried about 3 different cocktails so far.... will try more next November - but they're all very tasty and creative. I fell in love with one of the chocolate ones and got stuck on that!
All in all, great addition to the Grand Anse beach area..... would be fun to go with a group rather than just two of us tho, I think it would alot more fun!

“Liked it, but just good not brilliant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Service so so, food more based on quantity not quality. Drinks good. Good basic place, can get a bit rowdy with groups of US students but worth a try.

“Had fun then disappointment followed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

The girls and I went there sometime late 2012 for a lil get together, it was GREAT! We especially enjoyed the lambie fritters and sweet potato fries and I subsequently became interested in the MACO ribs after one of the girls had it n was giving it rave reviews.
I later brought my hubby there n introduced him to the ribs.........DISASTER ....I felt disappointed because he was sooo upset and disgusted. The meat was overcooked and had alotta fat in between and lacked taste,,,was jus awful. They didn't have lambie fritters so I ordered the pulled pork sandwhich, that too was disgusting, inside of my sandwhich I had over-ripped tomatoes falling off their skins n soggy and over-ripped plantain fried in too much oil and plastered under and over them was tooooooo much mayo. I couldn't even finish eating the sandwhich, also because the bread was so wet n soggy.

Still forgiving them, the girls and I went back in March, 2013. This time everything that could have possibly gone wrong did. The service was sloooooow, the girls (who seemed new) kept bringing other people's orders to our table then took forever with our actual orders. Even tap water took forever. One of the girls ordered Carriacou love bites, we all had a taste n decided it was good so 2 of the girls ordered it. When it came it was undercooked and lacked seasoning and/or taste,,,the fries that was ordered with it came after we finished eating everything.
It was jus awful. I think that their standards have dropped and the girls (waitresses) have alotta attitude to go with the poor service.
