Like other reviewers, I am also hoping that Sandals can maintain the specialness that characterised La Source. We went three times, once pre- hurricane, once just after the refurb had taken place, and once, by chance, last March. The 'by chance' was because we were at sea on the Star Clipper when a big wave got the better of me and I broke my collarbone. The ship deposited me and my husband in Grenada where I was taken to hospital, x- rayed and told in no uncertain terms that we couldn't go back on board a ship in what were, for the caribbean, un-seasonally high seas. So rather than cut our holiday short, we were decided to go straight to La Source, and see if there was a room for us. There was, and we spent five days of total relaxation there, where our every need was catered for, and the lovely staff couldn't do enough to help us. It was an essential part of my recovery, I think and I will never forget that feeling of coming home when we turned up there after a day at the hospital and all that this entailed. So, here's hoping that the next incarnation of La Source lives up to all that the old one was. Somehow, I think that this may be a tall order....

We don't typically like "All-Inclusives" - at all. I just saw the comment about Sandals taking over LaSource. Bummer. Stayed at Sandals, Antigua in a rondeval" room" with butler service and private plunge pool (won't do it again, not worth it, bland food, crowded beach).

Our experience of LASOURCE in Grenada was great, enough so that we went two times! The staff couldn't have been nicer, or more attentive and overall they were very well-trained! We were greeted by name upon arrival with cold towels and cold rum punch drinks. We loved the little lunch cafe, where they served creative fresh veggie and fruit smoothies and healthy foods (sandwiches, soups, salads). The Great House and Beach restaurant for dining for were candle-lit and service was prompt and trained. The food was good. It's not gourmet or unique in preparation, but quite good. We found out a secret: if requested in advance & if available - the beach chef would prepare us a "lambie stew" dinner! Grenadians call conch "lambie." The conch was melt in your mouth tender and spiced with curry. A special treat. The rooms, pool, beach and grounds were well-maintained and clean. Daily spa treatments, all meals, drinks and activities were included for each person in our room rate. We are PADI divers and even had a couple scuba diving trips included (which drew us there in the first place). It was not cheap, but the value was incredible for what we paid. It was easy to get to (direct flight from Miami); not far from Grenada airport .. maximizing vacation time verses the time to travel to LaSource! We came home after our LaSource visits feeling refreshed and relaxed. Not sure how LaSource will be going forward it is redone to cater to "all-inclusive, no local flavor masses."

Sandals Resorts has bought this resort an dis re-opening in 2013! I can't wait to go after seeing how disappointed everyone is that it closed. How far is it from the airport? We are contemplating a trip here or to Antiqua... any input would be helpful!

I'm sorry to hear the news its gone into receivership.
I got married here, and i thought it was a really fantastic place. I feel sorry for all the staff that are all out of work. The staff really made this place special. I hope someone buys it soon, so everybody can go back to work. It's a perfect place to relax , enjoy great food, have superb spa treatments, and enjoy an extensive activities programme.
The salon is also the best at wedding hair.
