Stayed from 25 to 29 April 2008 - excellent location, 10-15 min from airport. Amazing view from the hotel balconey. Food & service excellent compared to other restaurant/hotel. Would definitely stay there when back to Grenada. It is above expectation!

We stayed at the Flamboyant for a week at the beginning of April. It was - true to all the previous reviews - exquisite! We loved the stairs and felt we were in better shape for them by the end of our stay.

The staff are absolutely wonderful - they work so hard to ensure you are happy, and deserved to be tipped in my opinion, though we observed many guests did not do so.

We stayed on the all-inclusive plan and felt it was well worth the extra money spent. We still ate out at other places, but it was handy to be able to eat on-site when we wanted to. Unlike all other all-inclusives we have been to, this hotel offers alot of a-la-carte service. Breakfast was a buffet, and a couple of suppers and one lunch, other than that it was all order off the menu. The food was enjoyed so much that we didn't eat outside of the hotel too often. You can't beat the service, the view and the food in our opinion.

The rooms, as others have said, are clean, clean, clean. We were able to phone Canada direct from our hotel room for an extremely reasonable charge - about $0.70 per minute (though we had been told it would be $1 per minute). For us, it was extremely convenient and for a reasonable charge in our view.

The beach is beautiful, the country so varied with so much to see and do! It is wonderful to be able to go to a place where the food and water are so completely safe and you don't have to worry about your personal safety either - walking at night, etc.

Grenada is a gem - and the Flamboyant is where we would stay again. The rooms located in the side of the mountain create the most exquisite of views and others we met on tours were not as satisifed with their accommodations.

Would most definately go back again - to the country and to this hotel!

“Great Grenada”

The Flamboyant Hotel & Villas

There are direct flights from Gatwick to Grenada and the transfer from the airport to the hotel only takes about 15 minutes. Despite this the hotel is entirely free of any sights or sounds from the airport.
The hotel is situated at the southern end of a long white beach. There is a sense of isolation as the road through the hotel is small and not busy.
The attractive hotel beach ends at a rocky headland and has trees for shade. Our ten year old spent hours in the sea, and the waves were just big enough to be exciting. Along the beach are several other hotels with bars and restaurants.
The hotel restaurant is situated just above the beach and its big open windows look at the open sea, cloudy mountains and accross to St Georges town a couple of miles away.
Above the restaurant is the oblong pool where you could do some serious swimming if you wanted to, and also it is very deep for most of its length, which makes it good for SCUBA training.
The rooms were up steps further up the hill and again commanded a wonderful view.
As well as beaches, Grenada offers jungle walks and waterfalls you can swim in. We generally took a taxi to wherever we wanted to go, and returned on the local buses.
St Georges is not a place to linger during the day as it is noisy and busy, but a good place to go for an evening meal.
We were very happy with our hotel and the island.

“Loved the Flamboyant”

The Flamboyant Hotel & Villas

My girl friend and I have just returned from a wonderful week at the Flamboyant Hotel in Grenada. The hotel is in a great position on a hill at the "quiet" end of Grand Anse beach. On the hill means steps, but on the hill also means the most fabulous views from almost every vantage point. The main dining room must have some of the best "dining" views around from the huge picture windows, it's like sitting on a cruise ship! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very tasty and the staff very attentive and friendly. Grenada is a very beautiful Island and great fun to drive around even without road signs! The people on the island mirrored the "Flamboyant friendliness" and made hiring a car a great way to see the Island.........what more can I say.

We will return as soon as possible.

The views from the rooms are wonderful. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. The cleaners try and work around when you are in / out of your room and are reallay flexible about it. The Dive Shop attached (Dive Grenada) is great - really helpful, friendly, professional, entertaining and safe - for all standards from beginners to dive masters. Highly recommended!
