“Great views of St Georges”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

We were wondering around St. Georges and was approached by a local tour guide who ask if we would be interested in a walking tour of the city, to include Fort Frederick. We said yes and had a delightful tour of the city and he took us to the fort the easy back way. Once in the fort the city views are very nice and the fort is kind of interesting. If your looking for something to do in St. Georges go visit Fort Frederick the views are terrific and go the back way, it's a lot easier. Hint; you have to go through the tunnel to go the back way.

“Worth it for the Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

It is worth visiting for the views if nothing else, we had a short guided tour which was good and then we spent a short while looking at the fantastic views of St Georges and taking photos. Not much else here apart from a small shop selling spices and the usual tourist things.

“Amazing Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Seems to be the less visited of the two known forts. Amazing vantage point from what feels like the top of the world...probably due to the winding road up there with hairpin turns. You're free to wander the forts grounds and can easily picture soldiers in the olden days keeping watchful eyes on the horizon for any hint of invasion or pirate raiders. Definitely worth the trip.

“Alice in Wonderland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

That is what she called herself......the tour guide for this Fort. She told us how appreciative the Grenadians were to the Americans for rescuing them by liberating them from the attempted overthrow of their government back in 1984. I was moved to tears by her description of the gratitude. This fort is where the bad guys were hold up and the U.S. soldiers successfully took it over. The movie Heartbreak Ridge was filmed there.
