“Lack of funding shows, support it though!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

There is clearly a lack of funding here, but visit the museum and show your support. There are treasures in there that must be protected. Some very interesting displays and the curator is an interesting and friendly gent to chat to.

“The Real Story”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

The museum was very well put together with all sorts of artifacts describing the current and past history of the island. I was on a stroll through the downtown/Carenage area and so happened to see the museum open. The building is very vintage-y, two-story, but I really enjoyed the walk-through.

“Nice little museum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

I visited the museum after visiting the Market on Saturday morning. It is small but it is nice to find out a bit about the history of Grenada. It is only USD 2.50, which isn't much at all.

“Worth the visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Yes the museum is small but at least by attending these places it helps to understand the islands an puts much needed money back into the island. Being on a cruise this time round of visiting the ships do not seem to bring much revenue into the islands. The people are friendly and very helpful, will, always give extra info if asked. Give it a try you may very well learn something and feel good about the whole experience.

“Worth a half hour or an hour to visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This museum is small, and has quite a mix of exhibits.
It isn't fancy, and won't take long to go through, but it does present some interesting history of Grenada.
I enjoyed the animal displays upstairs (the butterflies, the birds) - it enabled me to identify a hawk I saw circling the villas where we were staying.
I also learned about the nearby active volcano (you will have to visit the museum to learn more!)
I would recommend visiting, to see a few interesting things, and provide some support for this museum.
