“Hike to the 2nd Waterfall!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

We had a wonderful hike to the 2nd waterfall. Once there we swam in the cook water. We were the only ones there! It was a beautiful location and worth the sometimes muddy trail.

“A little piece of paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

We visited the falls just before 5pm in low tourist season. I tell you this because it meant that we had the whole place to ourselves!

Located at the end of a secondary road the falls are serviced by a small reception area, cafe and changing rooms. They haven't been developed much more than this, there's no car parking - it's literally first come, first parked - the cafe only had 3 or 4 tables, and the changing rooms have doors that don't lock!

At the end of the day the sun was setting and filtering through the valley that has been cut through rock by waters past. It was a beautiful day, it was nice and warm and a dip in the cool water at the falls was the perfect way to end a day of driving around the island!

Its a beautiful little spot - especially when you get it all to yourself! - and the water is deep enough to jump off the surrounding rocks into (it's 6 metres deep!) if you want to. It may not be quite so tranquil at other times......

“Nice drive and scenery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

This was an easy and beautiful drive. The waterfall was beautiful on the day that we visited. There are shops around for drinks and snacks. If you aren't interested in hiking, but would like to see some of the local beauty - I would recommend this.

“Don't forget you mossy spray!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

When we drove to the falls we wanted to walk up to the 2nd waterfall by ourselves but were persuaded to take a guide, thank god we did because we couldn't have found the way without him! We went in July which is the rainy season so it was very wet, muddy and slippery when climbing over large rocks. Our guide was very informative about the different plants and spices we came across on the walk and helped us over the more slippery parts. It took us approx 1 hour to make it to the 2nd waterfall and we were advised that the weather was not good enough to go to the 3rd one. Beautiful site where you can swim if you like. The only downfall is that there are a huge amount of mosiqutoes, we didn't bring any spray and got bitten very badly. You don't have to pay the guide but it is usual to give a tip.

“Pretty falls, strange entry!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

The falls are lovely, although not huge. Strange entrance is through paid walkways and stores. We didn't pay since it was included in our tour, but it was a little unusual. It's dirt cheap, though, even if you have to pay. Well worth a stop, but don't be expecting some of the enormous falls you might have seen on other islands.
