We visited the falls just before 5pm in low tourist season. I tell you this because it meant that we had the whole place to ourselves!
Located at the end of a secondary road the falls are serviced by a small reception area, cafe and changing rooms. They haven't been developed much more than this, there's no car parking - it's literally first come, first parked - the cafe only had 3 or 4 tables, and the changing rooms have doors that don't lock!
At the end of the day the sun was setting and filtering through the valley that has been cut through rock by waters past. It was a beautiful day, it was nice and warm and a dip in the cool water at the falls was the perfect way to end a day of driving around the island!
Its a beautiful little spot - especially when you get it all to yourself! - and the water is deep enough to jump off the surrounding rocks into (it's 6 metres deep!) if you want to. It may not be quite so tranquil at other times......
