My mom, sister and I looked for a tropical place to vacation. When looking at the website I loved how isolated from traffic, people and stores it is. I wanted to take a whole week off and just lounge. When we arrived at the airport we were excited and a bit scared because it we were all females, but our taxi driver, Pedro Lamberto, was great. Very respectful and friendly. The hotel was clean, the staff were great except for Juan Carlos, usually a bartender. He always had a sour face when I asked for drinks. The pools were always clean, the food was tasty and the evening shows were really entertaining. The weekend did get a bit loud, but nothing we couldnt handle. I loved that although the resort was isolated the town, Las Galeras was walking distance. We got to see native homes, restaurants, and part of their daily lives which is something I really wanted to take in. We had no problems in the week we stayed there, cant wait to visit the cariebbean again!
The hotel has an expensive mini mart, typical.
The wifi was $5 USD for 30 mins.
The taxis were expensive. They charge is USD so just be mindful, you can take public transportation, but we decided not to.
We are Mexican, and we did need some chile, jalapenos, or salsa in our food haha
