The hotel grounds and staff were amazing, except Gaby! Please do not believe anything he tells you. He seemed to have ulterior motives. Nonetheless, Reginaldo was more than helpful to us even as we were checking out.

The restaurants on-site seemed to always be in recess. It was impossible to get a reservation at the steakhouse even when you followed their instructions. The buffet food was very mediocre. However, when the chef prepared a dish for you individually it was worth consuming.

The beverages are not what they portray. You do not get alcohol that you would expect if you are from the US. You have to be a member of the premier program to get decent alcohol. Their signature drink, 'Ocean Blue', is only good at the hotel lobby. The bars at the pool are not good. Luis at the bar on the beach was the only exception.

My husband and myself traveled to the Ocean Blue and Sand for our 4th trip there in a row. As normal we found check in ok and were given a room in villa 8 facing the pool. On arrival at the room it was clean and well made. After a long flight all we wanted was to rest and wake refreshed the following morning which we did, went for breakfast to find as we have before a good selection of food from eggs to pancakes, fruit, breads, pastry and don't forget the good old cereal so unless you really are picky you will find something you like. Wandered along to the welcome meeting to introduce myself to the rep said that I won't be attending unless something has changed in the hotel as it is like home from home to us, all the staff are like our second family, we spend time talking to them and have a lot of laughs with them. The pools are always kept clean and the staff who work on the pool bars are always cleaning up after themselves as well as we holiday makers with cups ect by the pool side. A big thank you to Edwin, Carlos, Franisco, Raynaldo, Deabi on the pool bars for keep us well watered and entertained. Also thank you to Rainer, Ocsar in the main buffet and Angel at the beach restaurant for looking after us so well while we ate. Mikes coffee is always worth a frozen treat well worth the extra calories.. At meal times there was always pasta, rice, veg, salad, fruit, cheese, BBQ chicken, a roast, lots of fresh fish (in the evening) and plenty of it, been checked, re-placed and very clean areas in which it was served. Then in the evening we would eat then wander for a drink in the main lobby where Christal, Racqel, Wendy, and Evlyn work hard taking drink orders and working the tables. On the bar Benvardo( sexy blacks bro) Bernardo, Sosa, Eddy, Sonia and Sexy black again kept us served well. Thank you to you all. The entertainment team has changes from last year and only Dawry and Alehandro are there from last year but as with the rest of the family helped to make the holiday we wanted, Thanks to Willy wonka who also kept us on our toes!! We can't wait to return to our family, the weather was mixed while we were there but thats not the fault of the hotel. We stayed 12-11-12 to 26-11-12 but normally its been Oct when its been a little hotter but we still had a FANTASTIC time THANK YOU OCEAN BLUE AND SAND

We are on a vacation for my daughters graduation gift. We are having a great time. I wish the rooms were bigger but in the end we are not spending much time in them anyway. The staff is great especially the entertainment. They definately keep you on your toes. We are having a great time. I would come back!

I like the Hotel... very nice guys, the poolbar it's perfect.... Willi wonka, minimi jumping crazy in the Pool... beach is were cleaner andere i have a good time her... i come back next year... best Hotel in punta cana....
