“very quiet, extremely relaxing stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

First thing to say is that Punta Palmera is not a hotel or apartment hotel in the usual sense; it is an ad hoc, frequently changing, range of private and unsold / unoccupied timeshare apartments.
This is not the choice of holiday for those who need constant entertainment, major facilities and all inclusive atmosphere; in fact PP is the total opposite. At times so very quiet relaxing, often we were practically the only people around.
Situated just a few hundred yards from the equally quiet Cana Marina, this is a lovely place for those who are able to switch off and just enjoy a lovely property with beautifully maintained gardens, impressively clean beach with palm trees (of course) and great pool.
A special word of thanks to all the ladies in reception, who helped us throughout our stay, and in particular, to Bethelys for her assistance ( and patience ).

We had a very wonderful almost private stay at this beautiful condominium property in Cap Cana . We did not want to be at an all inclusive. It was off season so it was very quiet and very few people but that was ok because we just wanted to relax. Our one bedroom apt was great and had an amazing view of the property, pool and beach. We also enjoyed meeting the Staff including the owner, front office , security ,house keeping , the pool waitresses and cooks. They were all very very nice . I hope to come back someday for a high season visit and look forward to seeing all again. Paul and Selena

The room we stayed was very nice and had an amazing view. The location is a bit remote but perfect for relaxing and just soaking up the sun. On the bright side the Marina is walking distance and you can rent a boat and go on your own little trip into the ocean. It can get pricey but you can take for as much time as you want so you decide. We rented a boat another amazing beach close buy and it was delightful. Pool is great, beach is beautiful but no restaurants on site. The staff of the hotel is a bit slow though, the drain of my shower was clogged and I had to go to the reception twice to get if fixed because they haven`t fixed the first time they were there. Other small things that you don`t want deal with when you are on vacation like have to ask for clean towels, not having dishwasher soap because we decided to cook and they will not wash your dishes. Although the place was clean when we got there, they haven`t done a good job up keeping it during our stay. Nothing major but would prefer stay elsewhere next time.

Room Tip: The rooms are all different, furniture wise but the one we stayed was towards the far end of the com...

The Punta Palmera has a wonderful but small beach and a superior infinity pool. Our room was very nice but we had friends who were not as lucky. I believe this property has owners who do their own decorating. Ours was a king bed with a nice table and chairs and an easy chair. While my friends had two double beds and no drape over the big sliding doors. The grounds at the resort were very beautiful. It was off season (Aug. 20-22) so the restaurant did not have enough supplies. The staff was doing their best but just did not have the supplies. We actually had pre-paid for breakfast so the hotel paid for us to be taken to a place nearby to feed us. Since there were not many people there, there was not much to do in the area. Somewhat remote.

Room Tip: Ask for ocean view.

We got a double room with an amazing view. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked really well. A great experience, helpful and friendly staff. We rented the golf cart one day and a boat the next. There are many things to do there in the Marina. There is a very cool night club in one of the places called Al Sol - we ended up not going to because we missed the cool DJ night (Friday and Saturday). We rented a boat another day and went to a beautiful beach called Playa Blanca. It was amazing. Great experience.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view - there are many and it makes all the difference

The minute we walked into our Punta Palmera apartment in Cap Cana, I knew we had made the right choice for our family vacation. The views from each of the 3 rooms in Unit C-26 were breathtaking and set the stage for what ended up to be a wonderful vacation. During our stay we were able to find a great balance of relaxation as well as adventure.
The view of the palm trees scattered along the white sandy beach and the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea wasn't the only thing we loved about our home away from home. The apartment came with all of the comforts of home, and then some. The beds were ultra comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped in order to make and serve gourmet meals, the large screen TVs and wifi came in handy when we wanted to connect with the real world, and the jacuzzi on the terrace was very welcoming.
Relaxation continued in several favorite spots that we found around Cap Cana, the closest being a stones throw from our terrace. We found a beautiful infinity pool with the beach just beyond it. Both venues had plenty of lounge chairs, and umbrellas if the sun became too much. There were plenty of beaches to enjoy in Cap Cana with the best, Juanillo Beach, being a short drive away. There we find a natural beach as well as a wonderful open air restaurant with a variety of mouth watering dishes. The beach and restaurant have a very laid back feel to them. In the evenings we enjoyed walking to the marina where we found a mini market that made gourmet pizza and delicious gelato.
My husband and son spent mornings playing golf at Punta Espada, a gorgeous course that they couldn't get enough of. One morning my daughter and I joined them just so we could take in the many beautiful views that the course had to offer.
If you have a sense of adventure be sure to check out Scape Park within Cap Cana. We highly recommend the Zipline Adventure and the Buggie Adventure. But, if you only have time for one tour then Hoya Azul is a must see! This is a natural spring that is so clear you can see over 100 feet down to its floor. The spring is at the base of a bluff within a tropical forest and is incredible.
Our wonderful vacation in Cap Cana wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the incredible people of FM who take care of the details at Punta Palmera. Transportation, groceries, keeping our unit clean, and making reservations for both tours & restaurants were just a few things that were taken care of seamlessly for my family. Thank you, FM, for an awesome time....we hope to return again!

Room Tip: We stayed in building C2 which was a short walk to the lobby, pool, beach, etc. Beautiful views and...
