The Grandes Palladium Punta Cana is one of best hoteles of Dominican Republic. The resort is fabulous and the personnel is very nice, especially the personnel of animation. The food is ver y well, especially the breakfast, they do you pancakes un this moment. If I return to go to Punta Cana, I will choose undoubtedly the Grand Palladium.

Visited Resort for Christmas & New Year 2013/14, understandably a very busy time of year but they couldn't cope not that we believe they would of been able to cope anyway. Customers where experiencing up to 3 hours check in at reception only to be checked into rooms that where already occupied ! The accommodation was substandard to the hotel rating in both cleanliness and facilities, simple maintenance to the room took anything up to four days even when reported to reception supervisor on a daily basis, not enough sun beds to go round on beach, small swimming pools and again not enough sun beds for everyone. Due to the high level of Russian customers we believe that the hotel staff had adopted their rude ignorant mannerisms, we spoke Spainish and some couldn't even be bothered to great you. House wine very poor and the lowest point was when they served very chilled Red wine on New Years Eve ! Last Christmas we stayed at Dreams Punta Cana, Uvero Alto (just outside Bavaro) and found our holiday experience most delightful, people where nice, hotel was good hence us revisiting Dominican Republic.

We had to switch rooms one time and we waited gor that for 1 day. There were some issues with the second room as well, but after waiting a day that was sorted out as well. Poor cocktails with some type of very sweet slushi. All you can eat restaurants had great food. People were bugging as all the time to buy stuff in the resort, that was pretty annoying, except a few times for stuff we needed :). People will approach you to buy all kinds of things. U either tell them no no or you ask them for what ur looking for they are hungry for cash.
Generally i had a great time here and i would go back the positives are much more than the negatives!

This was our second time to Grand Palladium and we had a great time. The nightly entertainment was fantastic! The steak house is a must and the beach is beautiful. The food was good and our room was very clean. The grounds were very well taken care of and we loved the train ride each night around the resorts. The only complaint we have is that there was not enough seats at the pool or the beach. People get up very early and throw their towels over the seats and then are not there for half the day. Some people throw towels at both places and then alternate throughout the day, sometimes gone for hours. This should be monitored by the staff/security at the resort and should not be allowed!!

Our Family was booked into the Grand Palladium Palace over New Years. We booked and paid for a loft suite with our children. We were looking forward to this being a wonderful and relaxing vacation. Upon our arrival our room was not ready and that was ok, but as we continued to wait the whole afternoon and asking when we were going to get our room the answer was always come back in an hour. Finally we did get a room but it was two rooms as they told us they were over booked and didn't have any loft suites left. Very upset when we waited all afternoon and then to find out we had to separate the family into two rooms. It was a huge challenge in understanding the staff as they didn't speak English. Once into our separate rooms which they did manage to put our family in side by side rooms we were told to come back the next day to see if they had any loft suites available. It took 4 days to get our loft suite, everyday we would go up to the reception and ask if our loft suite was available, total waste of our morning as the line ups were long with other guests complaining about not getting their paid for rooms either. We asked what kind of compensation they were going to give for all the BS of waiting for our loft suite, and they were going to give our family 4, 25 mins spa treatments but we could only get them if we signed a waiver and gave them our passport number saying that we accepted the two separate rooms. No way was I signing a waiver that said that I accepted the two separate rooms, we had no choice but to take the rooms. Front reception never had and money exchange, it was the same story come back tomorrow. Buffet food was ok and had to stand in line for 2 hours for the Japanese restaurant and then did the same for the Brazilian but they had different policy, you couldn't make a reservation it was first come first serve. Steakhouse meal was ok but service was terrible and slow, took 2 and half hours to complete our meal. Property, landscape and grounds were nice and the beach was beautiful but the rooms and the pool areas are very weathered and worn out. The sports bar was excellent and the shows and entertainment staff were good. The room the kids had smelled of an old moldy basement and their AC was leaking. Loft suite was good but also worn out, clock radio didn't work, pull out couch was a disaster with broken springs and bent bed frame. Our family expect so much more given the amount of money we spent on this vacation!!! Totally disappointed and would never return!!!!

As usual we will give you the positives and negatives , first the negatives ,when we arrived we were disappointed in the loft suite ,it had two double beds up in the loft ,We would have been happier with a single queen bed , and you had to go downstairs for the washroom,we hate stairs. The resort is actually three resorts in one ,we were told we paid for the higher end resort and that we could go to the other resorts but they could not go to ours , that was not the case ,everyone shared .They even have GOLD wrist bans for "royal" guests , but we never given the option to upgrade and be a "royal guest",we couldn't get in some restaurants because of this reason. On our door knob was left a note that said the hotel had a special gift for us ,so we went to the Lobby and the 20 min time share speech became a two hour waste of our time ,I figured it out that it would be cheaper to just book the same trip every year rather then join their time share .If you figure out what it cost you per hour of awake time when your there, you wont want to waste it on a two hour sales pitch for a cheap bottle of rum. The service in this resort was not up to the standard you would expect. Three times we had to go to the lobby to ask for water as it was not replenished in our room. Even after we left the maid a tip. Speaking of tipping...make sure to bring lots of $1 bills as we could not get change from the lobby nor could we get change from the Casino. The service depends on how much you tip and when you can not get any change for tipping we were not treated as well as the next person. The buffet was good, but the service again was subpar. Twice we couldn't get coffee in the morning even after asking for it. The last morning there we asked for coffee THREE times and still no one came. Upon check out, not once were we asked how our stay was etc...just handed a card and told to wait by the lobby outside. We would not be recommending this resort to any of our friends or family EVER!

I enjoyed my stay at the palladium because the staff was energetic and I believe the rooms should have free wifi as well
The employes at the lobby are very helpful for any kind of questions and concerns. Indira Encarnacion was very friendly and approachable!
The Brazilian food was my favorite and I had so much fun.
