Lets start off by saying we were looking aroiund for a vacation for the family that would be a good fit as we had 3 of our 4 kids coming with us. Obviously a good sell off price and a great property were at the top f the agenda. After a week of searching we finally found settled on the Grand Paradise in Punta Cana. We did some research about the property on trip advisor which offer mixed reviews. Some of the pictures of rooms we saw were not favourable.
Their website has some great pictures of the resort that were obviously professionally taken and being concerned about the postings of other travellers and I decided to get proactive. Since we were bring our kids ages 9-16 I reached out to the hotel via email to help reassure us about our choice of resorts. I started out with an email to the GM and followed it up with a call. I did not get personally directly through GM but his executive staff did respond quite quickly to our concerns. Long story made short he went to every effort to secure us premium adjoining rooms, in a good part of the resort that was not to loud or far from the beach. He also provided wonderful personal liason service with all of our need (booking restaurants, services etc). Also he brought the GM over to do a personal meet and greet. This was one of the best perosnal service experience we have had vactioning with the kids.
Just an FYI the property is going to be undergoing a serious make over come this spring which I beleive will easily propell it to a 5+ star if they do it right. Don't get me wrong there are areas that they could improve mostly at restaurant level. The Italian ala carte was 2.5 -3 star at best but the Japanese rest. was 5+.... Buffets were quite well staffed and there was always a pretty impressive selection of menu items.

I remember you well and the site you liked in the pool, we are here to serve and we appreciate your comments about our service, I see that you enjoy your holidays and also that Juan Gomez did a great job.
