This was our third trip to Punta Cana. We were very happy with this resort. It is the first resort we would consider going back to of the ones we have stayed at.

The staff was excellent and always willing to be accommodating. The only problem was some of them really didn't understand English very well.

The Lobby staff was great. We had good service at the towel huts. Never had a problem at any of the bars.

The food in the buffets was very good. They seemed to try to change things up a little bit every day so you weren't getting exactly the same thing every day.

We were not very impressed with the Seafood or Steak restaurants. Our waiter in the Seafood restaurant definitely didn't understand English. We ordered appetizers and someone showed up with our dinners before the appetizers. They corrected the situation promptly, but we could tell the problem was a language issue.

We found the Asian restaurant to be the best of the specialties. We went there twice. We didn't try the International or Dominican.

The resort is spread out into three sections. That is not a problem. There is a trolley that runs every 5 to 10 minutes 24 hours a day. Plus there are three large pools, one in each section so that was very convenient.

We were there from 1/25/13 to 2/2/13. We would definitely go back to this resort.

We were traveling with Apple Vacations. The Apple rep said that the resort used to be owned by a Spanish company that was having financial issues and was recently purchased by a Canadian company. That company is working on improving some problems that had existed.

Overall, we were completely satisfied with this trip.

We stayed the week of January 28th to February 4th. We travelled in a group of 8, but met up with people there for a total of 15. We loved the resort, although half of us were stuck on the far side, it wasn't hard to travel around and quite frankly, the pool on the far side was nicer to just relax. Upon arrival you receive 3 a la carte tickets and because each ticket could hold 5 people, this enabled us to go to every restaurant there, as well as every buffet. I found that the buffets had a great selection, although you could say that the buffet by the beach did get repetitive throughout the week. The a la cartes were also amazing, the crab balls at the dominican restaurant were to die for and although the portions were small, i found myself satisfied upon departure. The shows at night were very nice and the interactive boys vs. girls show really got the crowd up and participating, which we loved. The service was alright, for the most part it was good but there were mornings that nobody cleared plates, asked us if we wanted anything to drink or the likewise. This isn't a big deal at all, they are exceptionally busy. The weather; it rained almost every morning but by 11 most days it was clear again. The rooms were nice; a quad occupancy is a little squishy but what can you do. There was a kids club although none of us brought our kids there. There were tennis courts and ping pong tables as well as volley ball courts and all you had to do was rent out the equipment. If you're interested in tennis, the last available time to rent the court is 5 so i would get on that! You do have to pay for wifi, which is quite pricey and can only be used on one device however if you go to customer service you can get a slip with a password for 2 hours of internet in the sports bar. Even though the sports bar smells like a dirty pub, the two hours is worth it and doesn't have to be used consecutively, just make sure you log out! All in all it was nice to get away; make the most of your vacation and don't expect everyone to be bowing down to you because in reality, doubtful that that would happen! Enjoy!

Great vacation at the resort (10 - 16 February 2012) and not thanks to Sunwing. Please avoid Sunwing if you can, nothing but delays, no communications, long line ups, no customer service.

I loved the resort, great food (best of 9 trips south). Great service everywhere we went in particular Carlos Gil (Concierto) and Felix at the buffet. They made us feel welcome every day. They were a few problems with the rooms but nothing major and the reception took care of most of them.

I would return to this resort in a heart beat but not with Sunwing.

We stayed at this hotel end of Jan. 2013. The food was very good. The beach was excellent. The suite we had was first class. Two washrooms, two balconies. The hide-a-bed was very comfortable. I would definitely go back or recommend! Special thanks to Carlos Conception at customer service who was always there for us!
