We stayed he a while ago, and we're very happy. Gorgeous resort, well maintained, great food, and very clean.

We arrived on Christmas day ( 2011 ) and stay for 6 nights and 7 days. This resort have very nice plants and the lobby was big and you feel very welcome, they gives us ( we were 16 ppls ) everyone a very refreshing glass of no alcoholic fresh fruits punch juice , and the check-in was pretty fast. The resort is big and with a golf cart they ride us to our pavilion .

This resort is really beautiful with nice tropical plants, greats pools ( and many ! ) and its was really clean all the time ! ( They have a lot of employees to keep this big place sharp and clean, and all of them salute you ! ( Or me bcause i'm pretty boy... LOL joke. )). Every night they have different shows on a nice outside stage and we rarely get bored. In the morning you can learn to dance too, i didn't tried but looked interesting.

The bedroom was clean, A/C was working fine, the tv channels are great, the shower was not bad so no complaint. They give us a small bottle of good local Rum ( i forgot the name ) at the room and was a good one... i was surprise. They always feel up the fridge with some good beers ( El Presidente ) and Coca-cola bottles.

The beach was beautiful and clean. The food was good with a good selection of choice. A La Carte restaurant was great except for the Asian one i didn't really liked it but was not bad, it's just me.

There's a small village outside of the resort.... the ppls are nice but be aware that they stick on you and really want you to come inside their stores to buy stuff, be gentle and refuse it in a good way or with a fake smile ; )... don't take it badly.

I Have too much to say but i will finish now by telling you is it my first time in a resort all include, ( I did many other trip, but no resort in never in the Caribbean ) so mayb i'm more easy to please..... but what ever i said is the true. Have a good time my friends :).

This was my second trip to this resort this time with my sister. We were there from Nov 6-13 2011. Room was spacious and kept very clean. Toilet was slow to flush. Food was great and the resort had everything to keep us busy. The nightly entertainment was spectacular!!!!! The tribute to Micheal Jackson was beyond belief!!!! The staff were friendly and exceeded our expectations. Once person I must give credit too once again Is Israel Perez (customer service rep) he went beyond the call of duty to make sure my stay was enjoyable, This young man gives 110% of himself to his work, He is kind, caring, compasionate and truly an assest to the Occidental Grand Punta Cana. You go boy!!!! I think one day he may run this resort!! Despite me getting too much sun and ending up a the hospital Isreal was there to see me through till the end. Because of him I will be back in 2012 only this time in the shade of the palm trees!!!!

When visiting the Occidental Grand Flamenco, Punta Cana, don’t expect to be swept off your feet. This property is showing its age, but the location on the beach is spectacular. The soft powdery sand and active water (nice waves to play in) compensates for other areas that this property lacks. The pools are nice and centrally located throughout the property. The rooms are in need of updating, specifically the bathrooms. Attention to details has not been a strong point with the property management nor the engineers.

We found the attentiveness of the staff left a lot to be desired, except for Ruth Delania (she works at the Italiano, she was wonderful). When requesting something, like coffee, it takes a while. Turning tables at the buffet also seemed to take a lot of time. The food was good overall and the entertainment was fun. If you are looking to spend most of the time on the beach or by the pool, this is a great place.
