We were there from April 18 - May 3, and this place is great. Not perfect - but very very good, especially for the price.

Pros:
- Friendly staff
- No line-ups
- exceptional buffet (something different every day. One night they had a cheese tasting with a dozen or so different cheeses, another day there was a chef that tossed a salad for you after you chose your ingredients and dressing). Beautiful decorations (carvings in watermelon, etc)
- they use REAL chocolate in their desserts. Something I have not found in the caribbean before lol. The ice cream is to die for.
- excellent a la carte restaurants with no limit to the number of times you would like to go
- amazing beach with plenty of sun or shade based on your preference. Lots of chairs. White sand as far as you can see.
- 3 large clean pools with lots of chairs and a swim up bar
- vendor stores right next door. Went deep sea fishing with Marlin Sports - $60, great time, caught a huge mahi mahi
- very clean grounds, restaurants, etc. Beautiful.
- Free wi-fi in the theatre area

Cons:
For me, the pros FAR outweighed the cons, however, different things are important to different people, so I will mention the items that were less than stellar.

- our room was old and smelled moldy. The fridge was incredibly loud, and the phone didn't work (was replaced quickly).
- not a lot of english speaking guests (mostly Russian)
- you get your own beverages from a bar at the buffet rather than being served.
- The beach has little needles and pine cones from the trees on the sand until you get about 12 feet from the ocean and then it is clear.
- Vendors walk the beach and can be pushy
- Booze is not top shelf stuff, but plentiful. Juice is watered down.

Again - I would go back in a heartbeat. I go on at least 2 all inclusives a year, and I found this one to be comparable with other 4 star resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, or Cuba. If you travel with reasonable expectations you will seldom be disappointed, and sometimes - you will be pleasantly surprised.

We stayed in a beach front junior suite . This was from April13 to APRIL 27 The first problem that arose was that the room keys continually wouldn't open the door.Maintenance was called in and still every time we struggled to enter. The maid only changed towels and made up our bed but no cleaning was done.We even spoke to reception concerning this and still no improvement.The most upsetting aspect of this is that we kept seeing cockroaches on the bathroom floors. Drinks were swill, cheap booze and wine from a plastic jug. The food was just O.K. This is the forth time that we have visited the Dominican Republic and are sorry to say that if this is the typical standard that we would have to expect ,another time we wouldn't be going back.

Well let me start by saying we went april 7th for a week and had a awesome time,the staff where awesome,food great and the resort nice and clean,we loved rosa in the dining room,she is a sweet heart and went to playa corticeto,the village next to it and meet alot of nice peoplke.joseph a guy with adventure tours was who we booked out day trips with and he is a sweety,we are already planning on going back next year to see our new friends,if this resort was is good enough for you,maybe you should stay home,stay was always friendly and helpful.LOVE LOVE LOVE.

We stayed there April School vacation. service was horrible, the rooms needed to be remodeled, the shower head was falling off, the bath rooms were dirty, there was a piece of something in the corner of the room that was there when we arrived and was still there when we left
