Waves were fairly predictable and easy to jump over if needed. Great for learning how to surf as it is very shallow. I can see why the locals like to frequent the beach, it is beautiful!
The beach was very scenic but it was hard to enjoy with every peddler swarming to the tourists to buy overpriced unauthentic goods.
JUST SIMPLY BREATHTAKING! The water was crystal clear with a beautiful turqoise color. The sand was so pure and soft. It was a picture perfect setting!
We made a stop here on both excursions (Punta Cana Boggie Ride and Higuey Tour with Punta Cana Mike) - great beach with only a few people and are not restricted by resort access - it's always nice to know that the locals have a piece of their paradise too!
Macao Beach was a great escape from all of the people on the resorts. The beach was so secluded. Additionally, we were not bothered by anyone to buy anything.
