We made a stop here on both excursions (Punta Cana Boggie Ride and Higuey Tour with Punta Cana Mike) - great beach with only a few people and are not restricted by resort access - it's always nice to know that the locals have a piece of their paradise too!
Macao Beach was a great escape from all of the people on the resorts. The beach was so secluded. Additionally, we were not bothered by anyone to buy anything.
We stopped here with a buggy excursion, the view was amazing. The sand was white and the water was very warm. Kind of like a hidden paradise.
Stopped here for a visit during a dune buggy excursion, we swam in the ocean and enjoyed a bit of fun in the sun. Gorgeous views
Lots of seaweed in water and on beach due to storms but extensive cleanup was in progress. There was very little trash in water.
