We stayed here for 6 days and had an awesome time there. Dioni Cueto was a great bartender at the M Bar and had a great time at the 24/7 bar. Awesome location and service - definitely recommend!!

I would definitely like to go back to this awesome resort.

Jose Fernandez did a great job representing Paradisus brand by greeting and engaging with my family members, all 7 of us. His welcoming smile and warm greeting added to our pleasant visit. Jose's class for water spinning was a lot of fun.

Room Tip: Stayed in building 31 which was close to the beach and activity booth (sail boating was excellent).

My wife and I stayed at Paradisus from 12/6-12/13. Excellent location and beautiful property. Friendly staff that were ready to assist at any request. We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment. Look forward to returning to Punta Cana and staying at Paradisus again.

Had an overall good time at the Paradisus when we were down there for a wedding.

Positives: Beach area was good as it seemed like there were spots available whenever we went there. Ocean area was fun to be around. Concierge Christopher took good care of us, booked our restaurants ahead of time. The Grill and Bana were both very good restaurants. Mole food was okay, but the service was great. M Bar staff treated us great the entire trip. Kudos to Jose David, Fancisco Reguero, Martin Javier, Samuel and Charly were spot on everytime and always pleasant.

Negatives: Pool area was okay, nice pool, but played the same music over and over again and the swim up bar service was particularly slow. Buffets were just okay, got sick the last day I was there off of some of the food from Gabi Beach buffet. Seemed like there were a lot of people roaming around trying to sell things and kept after you even after you would explain you were not interested.

I went here for a wedding from Dec 7-17, the resort nice, very large, but has a couple of flaws…the wifi internet isn't the greatest, the food is ok (for example we went to one of the restaurants in the evening and this woman and i ordered the same food which was fish, she got her order first, we taught it was cooked but the fish was still frozen…the buffet food is just ok, overall food was just ok…the room also didn't have the greatest wifi connection, and the house cleaning staff comes to your room very early i.e 8am. The reason why this hotel gets a lower rating was due to the their poor customer service due to an issue that happen…while i there was my money was stolen by the staff and when i report the manager of customer service he laughed and then said "we have a lot of staff and we can't always manage what their actions" so then he said we will look into it..i went to speak to him the next day and he then said well there is nothing we can do then he said "i personally think your friends stole your money"..the amount was only $70usd but its the principal of the fact that this resort did nothing to help and and their poor service….i will advise travellers to be careful when leaving your stuff in your room…i personally thought i could trust this place due to the high ratings..im an experience traveler and i personally have never had this experience happen to me even in third world countries…the good things about this resort its on the beach and the drinks are amazing…i did relax it could have been better if they didn't steal from me but i didn't let that upset my vacation…also this is a very very family resort so you will see a lot of kids..personally i will never stay here agin cause it was too family resort and my money was stolen…to others enjoy your time but just be careful what you leave in your room…also my money was in the vault FYI,and we hind the key cause we were going into the ocean that day but i guess someone found it and stole my money!!! so again be careful with this resort

Unless you are the sort of traveler who finds fault with the thickness of the toilet paper and the size of the holes in the salt shakers you'll find little not to like about this place. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms more-than-adequate with comfortable beds and pleasant views, the beach one of the world's finest, the service good to very good, the food good to very good...all in all it's a great value. One of the restaurants requires a $50 pp. upcharge. They will give you a book of coupons which permits you to buy a bottle of wine for $25 less than the menu price. We found the "house " wines adequate for our taste. Wi-Fi can be finicky. Staff command of English is limited but adequate. Guests come in all sizes, shapes, colors and nationalities. TIP: Restaurants require reservations but if you show up early they will usually work you in. TIP: join MAS rewards to get the guaranteed lowest rates. Also try COSTO Travel. It you really want to be pampered step-up to Royal Service or check out the Reserve. Family Friendly.

My wife and I made our first trip to Punta Cana 11-17 thru 11-29. After reading the reviews we decided to get the Royal Service option, which was a very good choice if you are traveling without children. First, about Royal Service. You have a private check-in lounge that makes it quick and easy to get your room. At check -in you get assigned, and meet your butler. You also get a cell phone so that you can contact him directly. The rooms are the closest to the beach and this resort is big and spread out so if you don't want a longer walk to the beach, this is a plus. (As a note, if you are considering booking the Reserve part of the resort, those rooms are the furthest from the beach and you need a shuttle cart to get to and from the beach unless you want to walk a long way). With Royal Service you have the use of a private pool with no kids, meaning quiet. There are cabanas around the private pool and there is a separate area on the beach with really comfortable beach beds and palapas if you want some shade. Be out there by 7:30AM to put towels on the spots you want to save, or risk not getting a cabana or palapa. The beach itself is very nice with soft white sand and well groomed everyday. You also get drink service on the beach and at the private pool, and I would say that the staff does a very good job of coming around regularly to see if you want anything. This service is for Royal Service and Reserve guests only. The room was nice, with an in room refrigerator. Someone else had said in their review that the refrigerator wasn't very cold unless you left the cabinet door open that the refrigerator sits in, which was the case in our room. I think that with this door closed there is no air flow for the refrigerator to work properly. With it open a bit, it worked fine. There are no ice machines to get ice if you want some, so you have to call your butler or the Royal Service lounge to have them bring it, which they will do. Housekeeping was excellent and did a good job. The nightly turn down service was spotty. i think that out of 12 nights it happened only half the time. Wi-Fi service was poor (sometimes it was working, other times not), but there are 4 computers in the Royal Service lounge that work well with no charge. There are several restaurants and 2 buffets to use for meals. Royal Service has the use of a private restaurant, LaPalapa, which had the best meals, but the service was poor and very slow at times. We actually walked out of lunch one time because no one was taking care of us, and left another time after dinner because they never brought the desserts that we ordered. The Gabi buffet was were we ate many of our meals, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, was okay, but beverage service after you got your first drink was poor. They never checked to see if you wanted something else, or if everything was all right, so if you want something, be prepared to speak up. Naos, the other buffet was open for lunch and dinner, and we liked the food and service better there. Regarding the restaurants, have your butler make the reservations for you. Fuego, Mole, and The Grill had good food and service. Aqua, the Italian restaurant did nothing for us. As for tipping, we saw that most people didn;t seem to leave any tips, but we like to give tips for good service. Therefore, we would leave $2 each morning for the housekeeper, and $1 for each drink at the beach or pool. At the restaurants where a reservation was required, and the service was good we would usually leave $5. The service at LaPalapa and the buffets was poor, so we rarely left tips unless someone did do a good job. For the butler, we gave him $5 for each day that we were there at the time we checked out. If you are a golfer they will transport you to the Cocotal Golf course where the green fees are free, but the cart rental fee is outragious. From 7AM to 1PM it is $70 per rider, from 1PM to 4PM it drops to $40., and after 4PM it is $20. Have your butler make the tee times. The course itself is nice with 27 holes and never seemed crowded or played slowly. We would get in 18 holes in less than 3 hours and sometimes would play all 27 in less than 4 1/2 hours. You can google Cocotal Golf in Punta Cana to get the course information. One of the good things was that they would store your clubs for as long as you wanted for only $5 for the whole time you were there and we did that with no problems.

Room Tip: Royal Service, Building 9 would be my first choice because it is the closest to the private pool and...
