We vacationed with two other couples at the Barcelo Bravaro Beach adults only part of the resort. The whole vacation was exceptional!! We couldn't have asked for better service from the entire staff at the hotel. the lobby bar was also a good place to enjoy a cocktail with bartender Jose Arno and waitress Alexandra Santiago. I would highly recommend this resort as far as value, cleanliness and service

For people who look for perfect beach but within the secured borders of a huge hotel complex.It feels good being pampered though..:)

The hotel grounds were expansive. There were 6 Barcelo properties grouped together on one plot of land. You needed to take a shuttle to get around. The more expensive the room you stayed in, the closer you were to the beach. The food was fair (comparable to cafeteria food) The alcohol was no-name brand, unless you wanted to pay some extra $$ for a drink. The majority of the people employeed did not understand, nor care to understand English.By this I mean, they did not seem interested in addressing any questions or needs we might have voiced. The larger portion of the guest were from everywhere except the United States. I did not hear too much English being spoken, except for Canadian and British.We were permitted to make 3 reservations for a week long vacation. The restaurants were just fair. I would never, ever, ever stay at a Barcelo property again. This is a very poorly run operation. I would have been better served had I returned to any of the other hotels that I had visited while in Punta Cana in the past. Pass this place, if you are wise.
