I've stayed at the hotel several times now, and I must say it is one of the best options for business travelers to Santo Domingo. It is much better located to businesses than the ones on the ocean boulevard (malecon). Great restaurants and malls around the hotel as well.

This city hotel is not geared to tourism. But it is an excellent offering if you are doing business in Santo Domingo. Traffic can be tough at certain times but that is city wide, and you are already in it so you're still ahead.

Rooms are spacious, internet access is fast and easy, and sound insulation is good. Couple with good quality beds/pillows/light blocking drapes, and the combination is more than just above average for a business trip.

Friendly staff and very visible staff is a plus, and well thought out bonuses such as allowing you to call in for a room check before you get to the front desk makes checkout on a Friday morning, usually a busy exit time, a short transaction.

Hello everybody, I stayed three days last week at the Holiday Inn Santo Domingo and had a great time. I was reading the other reviews about the noise through the walls and thought to myself are they talking about the same hotel. My room was #720 the first one as you step off the elevator and I had no trouble with the sound coming through the walls. The room was just as you see in the photos, very modern and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the design is very sleek. You have your flat screen tv and beautiful bathroom. I had to call on two seperate occasion the front desk for help.Once for locking my car rental key in my suitcase with the lock on it and the other when I needed help with the laptop settings for the wifi in my room. Both times I had someone knocking on my door in just a few minutes. The pool and gym are on the 8th floor along with the sauna. I enjoyed playing in the pool with the kids. I would highly recommend the hotel and i'm looking forward to staying there the next time i'm there in about two months.
