The beautiful architecture was awesome and the sense of history and spiritualisim was complete in this Cathedral. Wonderful!!!
From the outside, this cathedral is deceptively ordinary. Step inside and you are overwhelmed by the beauty of this historical building constructed in the time of Christopher Columbus. Well worth the trip to Santo Domingo all by itself.

It's impressive to observe how a structure complete on 1540 has withstood time.
after seeing the cathedral, spend some time in the plaza. which connects to a ped street you can walk and shop. it was a great urban experience.
