“Small palace in the Caribbean.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Christopher Columbus family lived and ruled from this palace. The original palace was basically destroyed and abandoned. What you will see is renovation and recreation of how Diego Colon and his family lived in this place. Very well recreated. Tours available in different languages.

“Poor museum”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

Unfortunately, people in charge at this museum is thinking more in talking between them, dancing and doing any other thing instead of taking care of visitors. Lack of descriptions in the objects, no clear circuit inside, unfortunately a loss of time.

“The Very First Official Residence in the New World”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

Built by Columbus' son Diego in 1514, the building is in very good condition after 498 years! A recorded headset is provided, included on the entry ticket, with a brief description of each room and history of this very first official residence of Spain's authority.

“A beautiful Example of Morisco/Golden Age Architecture”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

This building was the center of the old "Ciudad del Puerto". The structure itself is a beautiful golden age piece of masonry and the historical background makes it a must see! Along with the Museo de las Casas Reales!
