“good spanish restaurant in santo domingo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

when you first walk in, it looks like just another restaurant, no fancy tables, rustic and country style chairs, etc; but, this is a good restaurant with good wine selection. I recommend having the Glorioso Rioja, 2008.
I had the Mero which was really good. the gallego bread is a loaf of bread with alive oil and pepper inside, that's was good too.
I give it a 4 because the service could be a little better. But I'm going back when i go to RD again.

“The best Galician Food in Santo Domingo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

El Gallego is a not pretentious place, but well artistic decorated. Also his menu is a masterpiece of Galician food. Mainly, the sea food. Always I decided for the clams, in two ways, but is better with white wine sauce. Excellent. Also the Navajas and others conchs proper from Galicia. The Fish is also tasteful. The pastry is excellent. The prices are affordable. And the clientele is the most selected . And if is a big group, you can ordere an excellent Paella.

“Very good Spanish Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013 via mobile

Very good option for Spanish food.

The Sangria is superb! Highly recommended.

The service is one of the best assets of the Restaurant.

Try Paella, Fideua, Morcilla, Potaje Gallego and Fabada!
