“Two Nights in a Row!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

We are adventurous eaters so finding ourselves in the same restaurant two nights in a row is completely out of character. The first night was with a small group of friends and we had such a great time with great service and entrees. The following evening we had a group of 20 that wanted to eat here so we did and found it to be just as lovely.

“Always amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

I always eat here when I stay in the Capital. The food is flawless. The location is convenient, romantic, and historic, and the service is top notch.

“Not Really Dominican, But the Food is Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

The Dominican Republic has a great spectrum of food choices. From the man on the street selling you fried dough to the ritzy restaurant in an upscale plaza. Pata Palo is on the ritzy end of that spectrum. The prices are significant but well within the reach of most American and Canadian wallets. The food and the choices they have very good. I got the carpaccio and some chicken dish with prosciutto. The location is even better. It is in an historic part of town and across a plaza where you can find Alcázar de Colón which is lit up at night and has a nice tour during the day. I highly recommend it.

By the way. This place is only a few blocks from the water. Make sure you sit outside. You can feel that ocean breeze and enjoy a great meal.
