My wife and I caught this trip from a cruise ship. About an hour ride each way over winding, hilly, two lanes. Beautiful vistas and the driver would slow/stop for photos. Our guide was a true Rastafarian. Very friendly and knowledgeable. It was the end of dry season so the river was a little low and unlike tubing in the USA we were kept together as a group. Helmets, life vest, and a big tube. All in good shape. The river has been modified to increase the "rapids". We floated for about an hour and fifteen minutes. They have done it in 40 minutes when the river was up. The stop at the Falls on the way back is a nice respite with limited shopping and snacks. On the return trip Ireamiah, our guide, put in his Reggae CD and sang along with it for us. This was a great way to see a big part of the island and do something a little different.
