“The best B&B we've stayed at”

Zandoli Inn

The Zandoli Inn, and Linda it's proprietor, offered everything we hoped for on our vacation in Dominica. The B&B is wonderfully designed, is charming and private yet communal all at the same time. There were other guests at the inn while we were there, and Linda was skilled at getting everyone talking and enjoying each others company. Our room offered a spetacular view from both the window and veranda when quiet time was sought. The description on the inn's website doesn't even do it justice. The snorkling right in front of the inn was great, and the trails on the property offer an interesting morning hike. The food was excellent and the staff was helpful and pleasant. This was hands down the best B&B we've ever stayed in, and what a setting - too beautiful to describe. And the house specialty rum punch should not be missed!

“Great Location”

Zandoli Inn

Mar 8, 2008

Zandoli Inn is a great location to explore the southern part of Dominica. My husband and I spent 4 nights there. Zandoli was the 2nd stop of our 3 places. For us, the best part was a few things: the socialization with other guests was fun, Linda the owner is fun, real and down to earth and the wonderful rocks and snorkeling at the sea was ideal. We truly just chilled out and relaxed at Zandoli. Though her food might not be as decadent as others, it was truly made by Dominican woman and more authentic which was nice. I was hoping the rooms would be a bit nicer and you could hear the road - but we quickly got over that as the charm, great feeling and water access was ideal. They market it as a luxury inn and I don't necessarily agree 100% with that. There is no doubt, we hope to visit again - we have wonderful memories from Zandoli and Linda should be congratulated for running such a great place. If you go, ask for Room #5 - it's the best and Linda's Rum Punches were the best as well!

We spent a couple of days at the Zandoli at the end of our week on Dominica. We chose to spend the last days at Zandoli to, hopefully, completely relax before heading back to the real world. We were not disappointed! Linda and her staff are wonderful. Linda is extraordinarily helpful, making sure her guests are taken care of. She even forfeited one of our nights at the Zandoli because she found out our flight left early in the morning and it would not be a fun 2hr drive to the aiport on the Dominican roads. She recommended a hotel closer to the airport and made the reservation for us. She definitely puts her guests best interests first! The food was wonderful, from the appetizer through to the dessert. The rooms are elegantly simple, clean and tranquil. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the views are some of the best on the island.

“What Place! What a View!”

Zandoli Inn

Jan 8, 2008

As soon as you pull in to the Zandoli, you realize you've arrived at a very special place. Situated on a lush bluff 80 ft above the sea, the first thing you appreciate is the fresh breeze coming from the Atlantic along with a stunning view of a coastline that could be somewhere in the South Pacific. The hotel is small and beautiful, with obvious touches from a master builder who paid attention to every detail. The colour scheme is bright and fresh - part Caribbean, part Mediteranean.
The meals were often served on a lovely patio with fresh linens and quality tableware. The food was fantastic with local seafood and and wonderful selection of salads, soups and deserts. Every night was a treat. Be sure to try the rum punch - comes complete with fresh shaved nutmeg - Yum!
Spend the day hiking to local waterfalls, snorkeling the coast or taking in the ever changing sky, water and coastal views. Host Linda and Chef Jenn along with the friendly and cordial local staff will ensure a wonderful stay. Enjoy!

“Bliss at Zandoli”

Zandoli is a small, very comfortable and well-run inn in a beautiful setting. Linda, the owner, is a friendly, lively, and fun hostess. She can set you up with guides for the more challenging walks on the island, like Boiling Lake. There are plenty of books about the island, it's flora, fauna, and activities available in the dining room. We stayed in room 5 with incredible views of the sea and the hills of Dominica. The room has a small balcony too. Bathroom is very basic but clean. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic! On Christmas Day, Linda and staff served a turkey dinner including the local sorrel sauce instead of cranberry sauce. Other nights, dinner was kingfish, lobster and mahi-mahi. The appetizers, sides, salads and desserts were excellent. Breakfast started with a fresh fruit plate and we opted to have scrambled eggs to fuel up for the day's adventures. The raisin buns in the morning were really tasty. There is a small pool on a deck overlooking the sea and a walkway down to the rocky beach where you can swim or snorkel. Best sighting while snorkeling there was a hawksbill turtle. Drinks are served from 6 - 7 and guests gather to talk about their days. The Inn is about a 30 minute drive from Roseau and the road is quite good compared to others we drove on Dominica. Six acres or woods, gardens and walkways are also part of the property.
