My husband and myself have been visiting Dominica for some years, and found seacliffe cottages calibishie.An excellent find the houses are very comfortable and very clean, and well equipped for eating in or out.there is television radio phone in most if the houses,and close to the beachs, and a view to die for.
The owners are very friendly and help when you need it without being in your personal space.Also the staff are all excellent,nothing is to much trouble for them.
I have never had cause to complain about anything since we have been going to seacliffe cottages
If you want to go to Dominica give them a try i am sure you will not be dissapointed.

The houses are beautiful and situated in a safe quiet area that was perfect for a relaxing trip in Dominica. The houses are clean and comfortable and the surrounding grounds are artfully landscaped with gorgeous ocean views off the cliff.
Jim and Gwen are two fo the kindest and generous people I have ever met. They were so accomodating and made our stay unbelievable.
I highly reccommend Sea Cliff for a truly relaxing, first-time trip to Dominica. You will find plenty to do once you are there. It's a bit far from the main cities, but we took the bus and had quite an adventure there. Otherwise, consider renting a car, the roads are in great shape and considerably safe for the Caribbean.

We stayed in the one bedroom cottage and found the staff to be both courteous and very informative about island life.
The cottages have all the comforts of home and none of your resort trappings.
Incredible views, three beachs close by, hikes through the forest, waterfalls, the parrots and humingbirds, we had it all.
Fresh fruit and veggies, Sea Cliff Cottages is the perfect spot.

The Sea Cliff cottages are four self-catering cottages with kitchens on a cul de sac.

We stayed in the studio for a week. This is a private cottage with a million dollar view of Hodges bay & the mountains! We spent most of our time on the balcony listening to the waves crash and feeling the tropical windward breezes. There are flowers & fruit trees all around as well.

There is a 5 min walk to the beach & river at Hodges bay. Our favorite beach to swim was 5 mins by car, Pointe Baptiste. You will have both beaches completely to yourself much of the time.

Make sure you eat at the local eatery in Calibishe, "Winstons" or "Walleers".(spelling?) Skip the food & odd service at the "Calibishe Lodge". Pretentious.

Ive been to pricy resorts around the world, and the Sea Cliffs is a truly gorgeous place thats not pricey - (which is why you go to Dominica in the first place).

The owners Gwen & Jim are friendly & low key. They are wonderful hosts and are equally happy to respect your privacy or chat about Dominica and where to go for your needs. They 've been there for 20 years and can set you up with reliable guides and activites if you wish. We didnt use the guides, but if I had had more time I would have gone spear fishing with Prim down on the reef in Hodges bay.

We also stayed in the apartment under Gwen & Jims house for a few days before we left Dominica and loved it. It has its own patio in the midst of the garden and a lot of privacy. Sorry, but they dont rent this apartment all the time, so you may or may not be able to stay there!
