It was our first visit to Dominca. When we travel we always look and hope for out-of-the-way treasurers. Sea Cliff Cottages met our expectations. We chose it based on online information we found about the northern coast of the island. We like to fish, and Calibishe is a fishing village. The area also has wonderful private beaches. In addition, we prefer the flexibility of cooking our own meals rather than always eating out. This gives us a chance to buy and cook the local foods and have an opportunity to shop in the market, meet the islanders, and get a true feel for the island. We discovered that we needed more time to visit the whole island. We had plenty to do between hiking, snorkling, shopping in the market in Portsmouth, checking out the fish pier, endangered parrot searching, on and on. Sea Cliff was a perfect base for us. We will stay there again when we visit next time. The cottage was clean, well equipped, and the owners are available and helpful in making suggestions/reccomendations. It was perfect for us empty nesters, but we could also see that it would also be a perfect place for a young family.

Though we had done quite a bit of research prior to our trip, our experience at Sea Cliff Cottages truly exceeded our expectations. The views are great, there is an incredible amount of nature exploring to be done close by, but most importantly the people were super helpful and friendly.
If you are looking for a place to really "get away", to experience nature and to get to know the local culture and people, we would highly recommend Sea Cliff Cottages.

We stayed 7 nights at SeaCliff Cottages and we loved it! You can not beat the view from the spacious balcony. We rented the studio cottage and there was more than enough space. The cottage is a 5 minute walk down to Hodges beach and a 20 minute walk to the village of Calibishie.
The people of Dominica are super friendly and very proud of their country. The staff at Seacliff are great people. We had our nightly conversations with Augustus and he brought us bananas & coconuts.
We also had a great day with Prim, eating fresh almonds, sugar cane, grapefruit and he made us a fabulous fish braf on the beach. Pascal got us to the airport on time for our sad departure.

My next visit to Dominica I will surely stay at Seacliff Cottages. Gwen & Jim make you feel that the cottage is yours and not just a rental....So comfortable.....I miss the sound of ocean and the great breeze that put us sound to sleep each night.

We stayed for two nights at the Sea Cliff Cottages.
The location was perfect - fantastic view of the ocean and just two minutes down a path to the beach. The cottages are also well located on the northen end of Dominica - easily accesible from Roseau (about one and a half hours drive) but away from the crowds, and with lots of activities in the area.
The cottages are just a few minutes away from the very charming fishing village of Calibishie and not too far from Marigot where you can buy fresh fish at the market (there are also people who pass by selling fish).
Our hosts Jim and Gwen were very helpful and friendly and even gave us a lettuce from their garden to go with our dinner (of fish bought directly from a fisherman).
The cottages themselves are spacious and clean and fully equipped for self catering.
Would definitely recommend Sea Cliff cottages (and Dominica as a destination!) to others.
