“Amazing!!!!”

We had our wedding ceremony at Bijblauw in August and could not have been more pleased with how the event went! We are from Curacao so we had many locations to chose from but Bijblauw delivered on all our requirements and exceeded our expectations. This is a family run hotel and it shows in terms of the personal touch and care! The setting is amazing and the owners Titia and her family went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. They were very accommodating and flexible which made for a really relaxed atmosphere. The food was wonderful and our guests left happy. We spent the night at the hotel in the honeymoon suite and it was gorgeous. All very stylish yet different which makes it so special. I could not recommend this hotel more. Especially if you are looking for a venue for your wedding but it is also wonderful if you are looking for a boutique hotel in unique location on the island.

Room Tip: get a room overlooking the ocean, view is amazing.

We stayed for 1 night (wish we stayed longer) with a group of 5 friends. Staff is very friendly it is just like staying at your friends house with the comfort of a hotel :)
Location is great walking distance from cute downtown area. Its own restaurant is one of the best place to eat, with good selection and amazing waterfront tables. We had dinner at out private terrace - it was amazing!

We stayed at BijBlauw and were blown away by the service. We had a terrasses in the room we rented, and the staff was so kind enough to i) get our order and serve dinner on our terrasse ii) custom make the cocktails we wanted iii) accomodate our demanding arrival and departure schedule iv) be very flexible with the logistics of paying and leaving the hotel

Couldn't have hoped for better, definitely my go-to place next time. Feels like staying at friends'

Good location. We did stay for 2 days, wanted to be in the city. Excellent service once booked through web, instant personal reply, did arrange dinner for us on Sunday evening, since most of the restaurants are closed on Sunday. The restaurant is great, great food for dinner, lovely breakfast, lovely view, great combo with the accomodation. Parking was available in front of hotel. The room was nice, although we did make a lot of jokes on 2 things: one was the room was below the stairs (looked like from Harry Potter), the other were the bathroom doors (did not give much privacy, but you have to see it to believe, window in the bathroom doors to room, I thought it is really funny).
The only thing was the toilet was broken on the second day when we did return from the day at beach and they were not able to fix this till our exit. One day and night us not a big deal, since they have public restrooms, but yes, could not give a 5 star...

This is a small boutique hotel that has very friendly service, comfortable beds and pillows. It is in an area of town that is still transitional, but we felt safe and we were able to easily walk to most places..including some nice nearby restaurants. “Downtown” is a short 10 minute walk. While the price was reasonable and the room clean, the rooms (they call them cozy) are very small and you risk running into the TV mounted on the wall on your way to the bathroom if you are not careful. We had a problem finding a place to put our 2 pieces of 22” luggage (one piece ended up in the bathroom). Don’t expect Kleenex or a hair dryer as this is a very basic place in terms of room amenities. They are ecologically friendly and put shampoo and conditioner in little open (and unlabeled) jars. I guess you are to use the shampoo as body soap as that was all there was. The nice rain shower (no tub) did not have any shelving to put any unlabeled jars for use in the shower. They do have an in-room espresso machine, a safe and refrigerator. While the wifi is free, we had issues trying to access any secured (https) site. Normal http sites were fine. The restaurant was very good, with service being a little slower than in other places we ate but remember you are on island time. The rooms could use more soundproofing but the hum from the air conditioner drowns out the noise from your neighbors. The air conditioner takes time to cool down the room and doesn’t feel like it cool it to the temperature you set it at. Still, once it does cool down, it keeps the humidity down and you can shut your windows to keep out the mosquitos. Between that and the overhead fan, you can sleep comfortably. While this is a good price/value place. You just need to know what you will be getting. And, you may want to upgrade to a larger room.

location semiperfect, the area is just starting to reblossoming, building itself already a bit run down, housekeeping did hardly take place, rooms fairly noisy from the restaurant (although you will appreciate their fine food and friendly service)
