“worth a quick visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

We rented a GPS at our hotel to get around the island. Found this park and enjoyed the ocean and waves. Loved the natural beauty. Driving the roads from one site to the other was a little treacherous, should have been a warning, our small rental car struggled going up the hills. I don't suggest walking from one site to the next as the heat and humility is brutal. Take the drive then the small walking path to the water.

“Unique sights, worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

Pretty unique sights. Main cave has big waves crashing inside. The other sights can be walked to or driven on dirt roads (okay in a normal car, just go slow) and are scenic and unlike anything I've ever seen with big waves washing over the coral shore. The Pistol in particular is worth a visit while the Natural Bridge is just okay. Cashier at the gate very helpful with instructions but much prefers exact change (US $5.50 at the time of visit).

As is the case everywhere else on Curacao, leave nothing in your car, nothing in sight, and consider leaving the doors unlocked or windows rolled down to reduce change of a break-in (very common at all remote locations on the island). Several of the sights had sketchy locals in beater cars sitting in the corner of the parking lots watching the tourists.

“Like going back in time”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

The park itself is almost identical to the east coast of Aruba. The rock cliffs have very deep water crashing against them with plumes of water flying high into the air. There are small inlets with rough sea spray. One would think they went back in time to prehistoric ages. Other than climbing over lava rocks and sea spray there is nothing else to see. Don't understand why there is a charge to enter other than to create jobs. Great photo ops here.

“Nature's Drama Unveiled!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

If you visit Curacao, you must visit Shete Boka National Park. Enter the park with no expectation and no research done beforehand and you will be amazed by the beauty it exhibits. The ocean looks amazing with the rough tides. The contrast of Black rock and blue water with white tides cant get more dramatic. A tip for travelers: While you enter the small cave from where you can see the ocean from the closest view possible, the tide can be rough and scary. Dont let small children go there alone. The news of people gone missing because of rough tides are true. Nevertheless from other several points the ocean looks spectacular.

“Breathtaking waves”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

We went with the Yellow Tours and saw a large part of the island. The views of the waves were remarkable.
