Arrived to Curacao by way of cruise ship and booked this trip separate from the cruiseship's excursions. Much cheaper this way! We booked a 4 seater dune buggy so the family could all ride together for $250. They tour meets a distance from the ship and we had to walk through the fort to find them. I thought they would have someone at the dock to meet us but they didn't. No worries as we asked around and were told where to find them. The dune buggy adventure takes you over the big bridge you can see from the cruise ship and on the main roads for 20-30 minutes or so and gives you a chance to see Curacao. Then you come to an ostrich farm and have time to roam around there and see livestock, turkey, pigs, ostrich, etc, It doesn't include any tours there at the farm as you are only there about 15 minutes. There is a bathroom and place to buy drinks and snacks though. I would HIGHLY recommend a scarf and sunglasses for all passengers on the buggy even kids and to bring several water bottles. It gets very dusty and hot!!!! Especially when you go offroad in the desert. Also bring ALOT of sunscreen. We applied before we left but should have reapplied as the kids got a little crispy. We had alot of fun and got to hike up steep hill to see caves, and the blowholes with pictures. It was alot of fun and a very unique experience. The owner was our guide for the day and took care of us all. He helped us manuever the caves and took pictures of us at different stopping points. At one point our buggy became lost from the group in the desert and he came back for us very quickly. It was one of the best excursions I have taken in all our cruise trips and I really enjoyed driving the buggy! My kids absolutely loved it too and we will always remember and treasure our adventure!
