My wife and I could not have been more pleased with Kura Hulanda and the entire staff. Nestled in the town of Wilemstad, it's a veritable stand-alone village that you never need to leave (if so wished). The two pools (the Eco-Pool and the "regular pool")
were surrounded by lush trees and beautiful, professional landscaping. Also, comfortable loungers surround the pools for guests. Multiple restaurants, a cafe, a spa, a bar, and fitness center round-out the homey feel of the resort. Guests can sit outside their rooms in their personal table and chairs or outside the cafe to enjoy the wonderful music and weather.
My wife and I stayed in the saver room, only to be treated by everyone on the staff as if we were the only couple staying there. Our privacy was respected, our requests were met swiftly, and our needs were most definitely met.
The resort offers a shuttle to the Kura Hulanda Lodge on the western side of the island. That is a must-do at least one day, if not multiple days. The lodge has an amazing beach, a beautiful pool, and a great restaurant overlooking the ocean. The resort also offers a shuttle to Blue Bay, a closer beach to Wilemstad. The beach is equally as gorgeous as any other beach. Generally, you can't go wrong with any beach on the island in my opinion.
I can't say enough good things about Kura Hulanda. Both facilities were amazing, the staff (especially Darrell) was friendly and helpful, and the grounds were clean and pretty.
I would recommend Kura Hulanda to anyone looking for a high-class, top-notch hotel.
