“It's a cave - it looks like a cave. It's fine, if you're impressed by caves, but HOT!”
I agree with the previous review that said that this is a cave, and it looks like a cave. It didn't seem any better or worse than caves we've seen in the states. Maybe a little less interesting. I thought that the other caves on the island that were closer to the current water line were better options for the time they took to explore.
The one thing that I'm not seeing in other reviews is that it is incredibly HOT in the cave! Much hotter than the outside, which in Curacao is pretty darn hot. They actually have fans set up along the path, but they don't seem to help much. Also, you are only allowed to take pictures in two specific spots in the cave, in order to keep the light from damaging it.
However, the government has clearly taken great strides to make this a tourist-friendly attraction, with it's paved path and built in lights. As seemed to be true everywhere, the guides spoke a variety of languages fluently. Again, if you really like caves, or if you've never had the opportunity to experience one before, go! Just be prepared to sweat!
