Owner description: Add this once-in-a-lifetime golf experience to your “must play” list located within the Santa Barbara Planation. Designed by the legendary golf architect Pete Dye, the par 72 Old Quarry Golf Course draws its name from the historic quarries where famed Curaçao marble is mined. If you’re looking for a phenomenal getaway, our golf course is the perfect choice. Pete Dye's championship seaside layout was designed to fit seamlessly into the islands's hills and valleys. A challenge to players of all skill levels, the course meanders between the stunning blue Caribbean Sea, the slopes and hills of the Tafelberg Mountain and the sheltered bay known as Spanish Water. To assure it would be built true to the conservation principles of Santa Barbara's owners, Pete Dye's son P.B.Dye along with the Golf Manager, Jim Bolinger, planted its fairways and greens with the hearty Paspalum grass, which can be irrigated using both brackish and recycled water. A handsome clubhouse and restaurant answer golfers' needs and provide a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea.

“A Must Play”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

This is an amazing golf course, not only is it beautiful from a picturesque view, it is also very well designed. Each hole has its own uniqueness and incorporates many of Curacaos unique terrain. From the Spanish Waters with little breeze to the ocean with a stronger wind, you will not be bored playing this golf course. It is just amazing how this course was built in between all the different variety of land architect. It is in excellent condition and a must play for any golfer!

“Had an amazing time”

Great course, very large with nice grounds and views. Bring lots of balls due to the winds on the ocean holes.

“Good experience - mostly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

Didn't expect such an amazing course in such a deserted section of Curacao - the course is tough, but beautiful. First two holes are right along the ocean, so it is an amazing start. The only challenge is that we really needed water and the cart crew didn't come out until almost the 8th hole. We ended up going into a harbor office and exchanging dollars for money for a vending machine. Also, we had to rent three sets of clubs, even though the two girls were going to share and we were trying to save money on baggage fees but only brining clubs that we were going to use. Since we were the only foursome on the course (we did a noon tee off) didn't really think they needed to be so strict with their rules. Definitiely worth the drive to that part of the island to golf.

“Beautiful views”

From the mountains to the ocean side to the 20+ foot tall cactus, the course is just beautiful and well maintained. There's always a breeze blowing.

“Great course”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

Don't get me wrong the 50mph winds coming off the ocean are not gonna help your score, but other than that its an absolutly great course. Kept in great shape, really nice views of the ocean and plantation.
